all those are spaa that have no way to effectively kill ground targets, and therefore have scouting. there is no chance the 2s38 would keep scouting if it was redesignated as an spaa, it would likely also have its apfsds limited. also no spaa has a drone so it would 100% lose that two
My first ever frag in Wiesel 1A4 was a T-54.
Wiesel 1A2 has a TOW Launcher.
AMX-10P is 6.0 with the same gun as Wiesel 1A4.
And that’s not everything.
It would keep the scouting, and the drone is useless to begin with.
SPAA with anti tank capabilities don’t have scouting.
So:
If it’s a SPAA, why does it get this scouting while 200x 225mm apfsds ready rack while Lvkv 9040, Otomatic or other 35mm Oerlikon cannons user don’t ?
If it’s a light tank, why does it get optical tracking while none of Strv9040 do ?
i agree wiesel 1a4 having scouting is odd but still it has limited gun, its br increase over amx10p is for its thermals, improved mobility and scouting, wiesel 1a2 is not an spaa so irrelevant,

Lvkv 9040C does get optical tracking, a lie in the post.
Just cause BAE didn’t put optical tracking into Strf 9040s doesn’t mean anything cause their purpose was purely infantry support.

1a2 has no reason to be a light tank, like many other tow launchers.
in general i agree with your opinion on 1a4 but gaijin seems to love making 20mm autocannons like oerlikon kad and derivatives spaa, see r3 t20, amx10p, sub-I-II, wiesel 1a4
on that note why is sub-I-II 5.3 when amx-10p 6.0 i have neither so they seem basically the same to me, anyone know?
AMX-10P is an entirely enclosed tank with slightly better maneuverability.
Wiesel 1A4 is tiny with thermals… self explanatory there.
And R3 T20 is a trash platform that’s fast in a straight line.

I’ve been trying to buff scouting rewards, buff SPAA so more people plays them, and so forth for a while now.
Of course some SPAA can’t do scouting cause they don’t have the radio equipment and gotta retain immersion.

indeed, type 93 was first spaa with scouting as it had no self defense i believe
spaa needs buff, killing planes should have much higher rewards because of how easily they can affect the game. one of the reasons many people complain about cas is lack of good spaa in brs with lots of good cas aircraft, and lack of skill at shooting planes without radar but i cant exactly talk about lack of skill

Like how if you bring HEAT-FS in a tank with blow out panels it won’t work the same way as if you only bring APFSDS?
And post-pen doesn’t matter much for auto-lights.
They aren’t 6+ second reloading main tanks.
29 is the current autoloader capacity, the real capacity for the first stage for the apfsds is just 3.
Not like any apfsds less than 100mm size has much post pen damage, doesnt matter with short reloads
just unlock the limit of ADFSDS, make OTOMATIC back to a great destroyer again XD

Based on environmental changes, I believe there is no need to force it to focus on air defense anymore. It should become closer to Sweden’s STRF9040C.
