Except we know full well (by Gaijin’s own admission) this isn’t about historical accuracy and timelines, we know that they’re balanced based on capabilities.
Otherwise the T80BVM would only show up against M1A2 SEPSv2s and above.
So, that leaves it up to you all to answer, why is it all the other nations have these weapons before the US tech tree? And also why in my opinion the base M1A1 and IPM1 should be moved down.

I’m not against it. Maybe 10.7. But again, I’m pointing out that the US tech tree and its lacks.
So, either moving the M1A1 down where it would be alongside the Leopard 2A4/2 premium and the rest of the entry level T-72s, and getting the M833 round for the M1s.
Yes but the optics are protected by the armor array, which is the same as the M1A1.
Also fun fact, they used one of the other Abrams’ turrets and forgot the old artifacts. You can make stuff float out the bustle rack.

Yeah well I’m snapshotting at speed from above, he’s firing up from beneath. Under most normal circumstances, he’s supposed to ricochet, not pen my frontal armor array.
But we see that’s not the case.
The Japanese line are machine-guns with 120s, that’s why I accept them at 11.0.
The M1A1 and the IPM1, with supposedly the best armor array, can’t stop a DM23, JM33, or 3BM42 from 10.3 premium/tech tree.

Still no explanation to why US tech tree access to 120s is later than 5 other nations.
I rather have 105 with higher pen than 120mm with less pen

You mean the 120 that is in the 120S at 10.0?
Of which the only functional difference is on a softer M60A2 chassis but same ammo? And still penned by 3BM42?

The 120S has the M829A1. And 2nd gen thermals with higher definition than the M1A1.
And it’s an M60 hull with none of the mobility and worse survivability.

And again, its frontal armor array - which is supposed to be the same as the M1A1 and above - can be penned by 3BM42, JM33, and DM23.
