Opinion: Put M1A1 and IPM1 To 10.3

I love when someone decides to go off a single comment.

Sit down, baiter.

Then you’ll be blocked because you won’t acknowledge the observations of where the 120mm guns start for other nations, so nuh uh.

Ok

If you say “i played 5 games with this tank” dont get upset when people think you played 5 games with it

He’s already ignored. Either others can address it or they can take it elsewhere, I want an actual answer that isn’t based on attempted shaming tactics.

Why do 4 of these nations (5 counting GB) have 120s well before the US?

I don’t agree so I’ll block you, look, this isn’t kindergarten

US 120 at the very least have 480mm pen apfsds with standard m829, better armor than most 10.3, great mobility, great gun handling and great reload

nobody at 10.3 have all three, so its fine at 11.0

the problem with US 10.3 is abrams ammo, they should get m833 to make it on par with most 10.3

not downtiering a great 11.0 tank to 10.3

it still a proof that it can be done

How exactly are they equal to a Leopard 2A4? How can you justify a 1.0 BR difference between them and an XM-1?

Doesn’t the IPM1 have M900 and a 5 second reload on a highly mobile and solid platform too?

An actual response addressing my point! Would you wonder at that! Thank you!

However, the point remains that 120mm is available with armor penetration that outrates the M1’s M773, and the M1 still doesn’t have access to the M833, even though that is the base sabot round for the IPM1, and was available to the M1 circa 1983 in limited quantities.

Correct, IPM1 does have M900, so if need be, put it at 10.7, alongside T90A, but make no mistake, the fact holds that the M1A1 and IPM1, while highly mobile, clearly are still tiered at a place where they will be penned easily by lower BR tanks.

So my question was that. Why are all of these nations given access to these 120s (and 125s for China and Russia) and the US tech tree is not?

Honestly, after like br 9.7, i just aim the same with every gun so any pen differences hardly ever matter to me.

How much of a difference does it actually make for you?

As shown, the 120mm M829A1 doesn’t penetrate the front slope of a TKX(P) at less than 200 meters, so that is something.

they hit the m1s weakspot what dp you expect

Again, DM23 hit front turret armor array, turned 45 degrees, then went into crew compartment. Not merely hitting turret ring. The round somehow remains intact and coded itself into the crew compartment after hitting the thickest armor slab there is on the M1A1.

The 3BM42 went straight through the 120S.

Given the above evidence that the turret cheeks are not as resilient, why can’t M1A1 and IPM1 be considered to go lower BR?
