Open cockpit canopy exploit needs to be eliminated

Ah btw, hope J35XS cockpit model fix asap because they has same model with J35D.

Be great if this wasn’t possible to exploit

Honestly, it is very frustrating to see players who have barely played in aircraft with terrible canopies talking as if they know it all.

What do you mean

That proves my point. You’re not going to see anyone directly behind you.

Well, I hope one day you play aircraft with “terrible canopies” so your word means something.
Cause if you did you’d know the methods of seeing targets.

The skill of listening to, and identifying specific engine noises. Many cannot do it.

Good news! You can’t “zero” your own engine volume and it is still the loudest thing you’ll regularly hear.

You literally don’t know what you are talking about.

In the case of the J35XS, the canopy can be removed and use specific key or motion tracker(Open Tack/Track IR or whatever) can provide enough visibility to make the top of vertical tail visible once the your head is moved.

If the canopy is not removed, this is not possible. Of course, 6 low is literally not visible, but that is the same for all aircraft.

bro think it is not enough lmfao

Then don’t post to have no experience next time.
Cause unlike you, I know most people here have experience cause we don’t exploit the game.

When in the world did I say “no experience”?
I said barely but, never said “no experience”.

If they actually had any experience with sims, they would not be doing the ridiculous post you are doing.

@VF21_Freelancers
So you call sim players ridiculous. Alright, everything you say is null and void.
Anyone that looks down on sim players in a simulator discussion have nothing of value.

Big word from gamer who barely play sim

There you go claiming to barely play sim again.
I personally have spent over 1000 hours in simulator, but you do you. 1000 hours is a lot of experience.

Exploiting is wrong no matter what you say.
You can’t see aircraft directly behind you outside of bubble & bubble-like cockpits.

You can keep insulting everyone here, but that won’t make your posts correct.

Did you know that you can move your head in the game?
Some aircraft are completely blocked by their canopies, whereas if the canopy is removed, the aircraft can move its head to some extent to see enemies close behind it or directly above it, although not perfectly.

This can be a sufficient advantage in a dogfight because you don’t miss it except skill issue.

@VF21_Freelancers What do you expect me to say by repeating my takes back to me?
Those takes you implied were ridiculous earlier.

That is by no means rare. If they find you from high altitude with eyeball Mk.1 or radar, IRSTs or whatever and dive towards you directly behind you or just launch missiles, they will most likely hide in a blind spot in the canopy. If there were no canopy, at least the missile smoke would be visible.

And That’s mostly what I do for killing players when I’m on J-7E, MiG-23MLA/MLD.

A decent HUD and a missile seeker is all you need. For older types of HUDs like the F-4, this will not work, but for HUDs like the A-7, Kfir, J-7D/E, and MiG-23, the IR missile seeker can be used instead.

I acknowledged that many times in the past, BUT I also acknowledge how unlikely that scenario is.
A perfect vertical instance of a target on you is rare outside an active dogfight.
Not only does an enemy aircraft need to spot you, they need to keep you in their own sights, which means they can’t be above you without a navigation or targeting pod add-on.
So they’ll likely be below or at-level with you playing into your own blindspots because they need to visualize where you are and identify you.

So while that scenario is valid, it’s not plausible. So much so that zero aircraft have engaged me from such an angle.
And if anyone did engage you without a targeting pod, I’d be suspicious of their legitimacy.

Memory and turning down volume setting instead of filtering which noise is which, not skill.

I don’t give a damn if i can’t zero on my engine volume, everyone sound setting that isn’t volume, audio channel, force surround and decoder should be at the same level. Speed of sound and engine volume should not exist as a customizable setting.

This is a skill.

I agree, it should be set for everyone at the best setting - i.e. maxed “other” volume and minimum “own” volume.

Personally i would not consider anything that I can just remember as skill. it must be something that need to be taught rather than memorised. but you do you.
