You should see how I swear around here at home when the battles go the way they like to go. The good thing is that I do it for myself and in the last 170 days of WarThunder I have learnt to spare the chat from it. It’s just the expectations I have of others that can be too high. Just because I have high expectations of myself doesn’t mean that others have to have the same expectations of themselves.
It was difficult for me to learn. But it gets easier with every battle if you realise that for yourself.
And even here in the forum, I’ve learnt more about myself in the last few weeks than about others. Here, too, I had expectations that could not be fulfilled. Since I have cancelled these expectations, wonderful new discussions have actually arisen that have really helped me.
It is the player base who screamed for all these nations. War Thunder was just the big 3 to begin with and the game was never better from what I hear all the time on here.
Gaijin ruined the game to appease the mob demanding this and that.
Yeah … that’s something I often encounter in real life too. Everyone cries out for change and gets it, but in the end they are not satisfied with it. These people move on and leave behind a field of debris for those who have decided to work on it.
Most of the time, however, the people who cry out for change on the outside are the ones who should find it within themselves. For me, this is one of the biggest challenges of our Western society. Not constantly convincing others of your opinion, but showing ways of dealing with yourself and the opinions of others without being totally offended.
A good start that helped me was to replace the word problem with the word possibility in my vocabulary.
lol why do you think I turned chat off :) Biggest critic of me is me . I dont need some fool on here to go “Skill issue.”
My piont is that I have played online games since they started. We had the same issues with Medal of Honour and it was noticeable because you went from the very lonely, solitary world of single player gaming into the public domain.
You now faced criticism of your actions and the stupidity of others which was the reason you played games on the PC or console in the first place, to escape from people. Even then we had the armchair general crying over the new word in our dictionary, “camping” even though the game makers gave you a sniper’s rifle to hide and snipe.
ODL is just the same. It is the self-proclaimed lawmakers dictating who, must do what and when and sadly Gaijin spend too much time listening to them.
I say get on with your own game and quit when you like but do try to fight the rage quit for your own benefit.
If you want to be where the Iron crosses grow, then stay in the game until the end :)
Same here, but it is actually amazing that gaijin manages to offer a flawed product with so many weaknesses and is still able to keep you emotionally attached to the game - even if you are fully aware of the downsides.
So either the players are completely addicted - or gaijin offers still the best “package” in this game genre…
You should understand beside Gajin that offer Tank, Air and Sea battles is Wargaming while WG is having trouble maintaining they veteran playerbase because powerboosting, bots, rare verhicles for big guilds. WG stand out for they arcade Sea Battles and Tank Battle while WT stand for realistic and more complicated battles.
I am fully aware of that - but imho “complicated and more realistic battles” is just an illusion. If you compare the average player from 5 years ago and today - the game follows the players and the game became more and more a plain shooter…
Complicated mechanics in gameplay for ARB and SB where you need to push on multiple keys to hit your target. Realistic is that you get shot and like WoT where you verhicles get hitpoints or wait that one lonely light tank can change the battle entirely in 1vs4.
Ignoring the asinine framing you tried to make, under this argument you could justify never modeling MBTs for a nation and forcing them to only use SPAA.
Nations should have access to their historical vehicles, period. War Thunder is a vehicle “simulator”. We’re here to play vehicles, we want to play the vehicles a nation used. I want to play the Hungarian Tiger. I want to play the German Tiger. I want to play the Jeep with a recoiless rifle attached to it. I want to play the EBRC Jaguar.
Hey you need to revisit the UK again we eat plenty of salt and fat now and you would be delighted by the obesity levels now.We just need to make the roads wider to cope. You might also appreciate our current levels of public spending while on that subject,We have roads so rough you could only think of home. You could import your cars now 😆 I’ll take a 69 Charger please
what? how did you get women rights into this, you ok bud?
I dont want the nations to be the same bud, i just want the nations and BRs to have the same (or close) possibility to win in a match.
I effing hate and loath steamrolling and/or getting steamrolled.
It’s not fun in any way.
I want close and fun battle where i sit on the edge of my seat, (you know, those battles who makes people stay and fight instead of leaving after first death which this whole thread is about)
Somewhat agree. Somehow I would prefer a Ground SB similar to AirSB which you could start advancing on the battle field, complete some tasks, conqueror some ports of areas … much more fun
The solution is quite simple - Players with line ups that consist of only 1 vehicle appropriate for the BR needs to be put into battles with the same type of line up. A minimum of 3 vehicles should be required for a normal type battle.
The 1 death leavers still get their games and it doesn’t influence anyone else playing the game normally.
