Wait! I never pretended that. I just told you that I´m only interested in my tasks and when I´m done or I can´t solve my task I´m not longer interested in this very battle. I just don’t care if we win or lose because at least 75% don’t seem to care or they would use vehicles that would give them victory. Am I selfish? Yes, I am. Are the bottom 75% selfish? Sure, of course! Right from the start, they take into account that they will lose all the vehicles they have in the setup and give their opponent hundreds of tickets. Some would serve the team better if they didn’t spawn at all. Should I work my *** off for them while they sabotage me? Jeez, I’m not the Salvation Army! After work, I only have a limited amount of time to complete daily tasks and perhaps additional event tasks. I certainly won’t waste this time on others who don’t make even the slightest effort to understand this game and learn tactics.
And every fool on this forum who claims you are selfish will be doing the very same.
Who’s gone after 2 lives?
You get 2 lives if you did absolutely nothing. I’ve seen people quit after racking up 5+ kills and only 1 death.
I’m trying to make sense of this and I simply can’t.
Anybody who didn’t get a kill is gone after two. So it’s no big deal to Gaijin people bowing out early.
Let players play every vehicle they brought if it matters so much.
How is someone getting 5+ kills and leaving a bad thing? They did their job, why should they then suffer because the rest of team can’t think?
Are you mad they didn’t carry you to a win?
Go play Gunner Heat PC then. They die quite nicely there.
Until they added the spawnpoint system, it was like Sim where every vehicle had a certain number of spawns.
Yet people will still leave after 1 death.
Well, scoring a bunch of SPs then leaving has pretty much stolen from the team if you want to think about it in one way.
It’s not the teams SP otherwise it would be pooled. That’s earned SP for individual play.
You think that will stop me or anyone else?
Easy way to circumvent that is to bring in only a single vehicle, or several reserve tier vehicles.
Thank you for explaining the world to us.
Let me pose some questions to OP, just so we’re sure what it is exactly we’re advocating for.
- Is there any requirement to play the game well?
- Is there any requirement to play to win?
- Is there any requirement to play as a team?
- Is there any requirement to be friendly?
- Is there any requirement to communicate with your team?
If the answer to any of these questions is not “yes”, then why is there any requirement to play at all? Why should I have to try to salvage a game my team has lost? Why should I have to work with players who don’t work with me? Why should I have to play with people if find are unfriendly?
If we’re not friends, we’re not teammates by volition, and there’s no guarantee anyone is else is going to try, why do I have to try? War Thunder is, AND SHOULD BE, a game where you play the way you want to play. That should include choosing not to play at all.
Yeah, I can actually imagine that you don’t understand that. You bought a few premium vehicles, rushed through the ranks without learning much, and now you’re hoping with 0.6 K/D that the rest of your team will hold off the enemy until you get a jet spawn. That’s exactly my sense of humor. I’ll tell you something: I was a tank platoon leader in RL and I can assure you that everyone only has one life. Only one. If you take this into account in the game, you will be more successful and less dependent on other players.
You wanted to know the cost, that’s one cost of people 1 death quitting.
Honestly, I really have no idea what you mean but it seems insulting.
So IRL you only have one life, what does that have to do with a video game? Are you saying you would run away as a platoon leader?
I really can’t get my head around this one death leaving mentality.
Just don´t waste your tanks like scrap! Most players don´t think before they move. They don´t look around and can only run straight to A, hoping for the best. Easy kills and spawn points for the enemy. Then they want others to clean up their mess. Nope!
Ok, no one is asking you to clean up a mess. Just asking team mates not to abandon their team in a team game.
I just odl twice.Just not in the mood tonight. Its no major statement and its says more about me than the game.
