the MiG in DCS is a Low fidelity module and DCS isn’t Perfect either
for example that all Heat seekers including the R-27ET are unaffected by bad weather and incorrectly modelled regarding the Aspect the missile is able to target is well known among the community
Warthunder has more realistic Heat seekers than DCS and that’s a fact
I know I’ll get dog piled, but I had to say some things about Khinzal.
It achieves hypersonic speeds.
It has tremendous kinetic energy.
It seems to work just fine for Russia.
It’s hard to detect.
It’s hard(impossible) to intercept.
I know some of you guys think that Vitali Klitschko is standing next to the surviving portion of the missile. However, dimensionally, I just don’t think even he is big enough to dwarf it. However, he seems to be perfect size to lord over the front 2/3rds section of what appears to be a BETAB-500 concrete penetration bomb. I don’t know how they detonate, so it’s not entirely impossible that something intercepted it, but even SM3 is not small enough to make such a tight little punch into the bomb.
We also saw within a few days of that report, 3 Khinzals strike the same patriot site, after it sperged out and launched 150 million dollars worth of missiles in a 1 minute salvo.
There were also Patriots guarding a a big air base in Odessa where ordinance was being stored, and those patriots were wiped out in a single night, with a follow on strike the next day destroying a huge depot.
Anyways, I digress. Suffice it to say you should take everything with a grain of salt, and seek to inform yourself. Both sides are heavily propagandizing information, and are self serving.
My first attempted at Friargate station for some reason Trainz needs a link to be able to post it in there forums for some reason so I’m just link farming here :P
