Gaijin doesn’t care.
If they cared, they’d ban as circumstances arise, instead of these cute little “ban waves.” The excuse that it’s too hard to ban per cheater per incident is just that; an excuse.

Nearly lost my mind going in this rabbit hole, the worst part is if you dare poke around in CC’s discords you get banned nearly immediately because y’know, it’s not a good look to be pals with cheaters even openly :*)
Here’s a vid of a .Sync. member casually saying he got banned for cheating (of course he remade an account) with Defyn leaving a comment as well, yikes!

The fact they acted to remove that so fast is pretty much part of the problem with the major CCs.

no worries, the platform this forum runs on is notorious for abusive flagging issues, you can just edit your OG post and it will be re-instated.
I only follow one CC, BadKarma, the other is DEFYN strictly for early jet reviews otherwise I couldn’t care less, his voice annoys me and his sense of humor is the sort you’d find in a discord call on a squadron discord. That’s it, I usually don’t watch videos related to video games, they’re all largely boring and quaint.
As for the whole parasocial relationship people develop for youtubers and the likes, I never, ever understood that, it’s bizarre to me. Same goes for youtuber discord servers or whatever, ew.

This whole channel is basically this, but to be fair he’s also a monster at the game (and it’s genuinely informative without jokes/quips, personally I cut volume.)
I’m also sad Gaijin did absolutely nothing to people that were abusing scouting without LoS. That’s blatant bug exploiting and Gaijin basically swept it under the rug with this new “mechanic” allowing UAV scouting.

Honestly, I noticed it’s been getting worse. Way more political than back in the day. A frustrathing thing, but I guess not unexpected given millitary/WW2 enthusiasm tends to attract such.
It kinda made me nope out hard, all the same.
… It’s generally a curse with WT CCs. Another CC I enjoy watching opened their discord to new people. Joined. Did a ctr+f for certain keywords, checked some conversations. Noped out after realizing people like me are highly unwelcome.
Oh an Il2. There’s a tutorial maker I used to recommend. I got randomly recommended the guy’s squadron/clan recruitment video and… “I guess there’s a reason this guy mains german fighters beyond the fact they’ve got cool cockpits and easy handling.”
This one in particular is “Hilarious.”
… if anything, you get harrassed and sent threats for daring be open about who you are while trying to signal-boost your lab’s papers.

As for discord servers, I avoid them like the plague, especially Defyn’s server which has a “Brown” role and people making fun of you “for being brown”, was promptly booted when I inquired what that role meant and wether he knew how bad it looked from a normal person’s pov, but he’s dutch and that country love to defend lovely things like blackface so whatever.
And yeah youtubers in general tend to be massive reactionary goobers, what a fun world, eh?
