Reminder that Unlike the Mosin, Mauser K98 pattern guns are still being produced to this day by Mauser although in a moderised way with Floating barrels and in diffrent calibers

thats pretty cool. i think a mosin thats seen WW1, Russian CIvil War, WW2, Afghanistan and Ukraine serving on Mars is a bit funnier

I just find it odd that Mauser still makes the K98 and I only found out recently when I went to a range with my partner and they sold a Fancy used one there that was made in 2019

Today I found out that I was horrifically ignorant.
I expected everyone to read my edited posts without me informing them.
I expected them to know they were edited.
I expected them to know I admitted a mistake.
All without me informing them I made edits and mistakes… on a forum that does not notify people when edits are made, but does tell you which posts are edited.
That was very incorrect of me to do. I was mistaken, ignorant, and utterly naive.
This is why my early posts’ edits don’t have responses with me vocally admitting my mistakes; I naively expected people to interpret those edits as me admitting my mistakes.
This is why my 2023 time here on the forum doesn’t have me explicitly telling people I’ve edited posts; I naively expected people to just know.
I now know why I didn’t do the things I do.
I now have what I think is all the information I need to build a better me for tomorrow.

Rounded off the kills for Supercobra
funnily enough, despite my complaining it marginally outperformed the Superhind
Cobra: 38 Deaths/10 Air Kills/110 Ground Kills
vs
Hind: 43 Deaths/7 Air Kills/107 Ground Kills
I can put that down to the Cobra having the better defensive avionics, I was able to keep it alive despite the hordes of Spikes and SAMs thrown my way along.
I will rant about the 20mm M197 though; it is absolutely trash, grossly inaccurate, far too low velocity and hits about as hard as a beanbag. I used to assume it would be better than the Apaches 30mm for defense, nope. Got 2 air kills with it and they were trades because the autotracking is only good for 200 meters apparently, 6 were Hellfire kills on Helicopters, 1 Hellfire kill on an Su-22 (lol), and 1 AIM-9L kill on a Saab 105.
I think I’ll look for something slightly less torturous before the AH-1F/S camo grind, maybe Ka-52 or Z-11WA? (or the A-10A Late)
