when the F-1117 Opens its bomb bay doors, they emit a radar signature. The doors opening were not even implemented into the stealth profile.
The radar returns emitted are too small and the air craft would have to be flying extremely low to the ground to even pick up those radar bands.
The IR signature emitted is less than that of a ww2 piston fighter, and it mixes the heat with cold air from outside. The higher up you are the less and less IR would be detected.
You don’t make it disappear, you make it cold.

F-117 was the 1st stealth aircraft using very primitive stealth. It’s not surprising that modern radars from air superiority fighters can detect it at closer ranges.
