Yes but they would have to open the bay door and extend the missile out and it can be locked by radar when this happens it’s the exact reason it didn’t receive aim9L
that’s kinda wrong
sure the radar detection range would decrease, by roughly 2/3
but you’re still seeing it and you’re still locking it and shoving an R-23 up it’s engines
just from a little less far away

It actually wouldn’t surprise me it it carried CM, specifically flares, as any heat seeking MANPAD or SAM can still lock on if they have range and aspect. Let alone a plane that can turn off its radar once it maintains visual contact and flies behind the F-117 and shoots of, say a R-73 for historical sake, which would still ignore flares but.
Wouldn’t make sense if you’re purely high alt striking though.
While stealth has its pros of not being seen on radar, any FLIR or NOD systems in the dark or day would make spotting one a cakewalk, it’s also yet again not resistant to IR missiles, or even (you have the right to laugh it out) TV guided weapons, that is without flares of a screening system.
I personally think, stealth aircraft, in the early days, absolutely have an advantage over their competitors, but now it’s obsolete in my opinion. Yeah, it gives you a tactical advantage, but any seasoned pilot who’s smart enough to figure it out can combat them.
