The 2S38 can frontally pen US and Italy’s tanks, I don’t believe it can easily hit through the Challenger.
Lower hull it’s a thing on the Challenger i’ve pen’d the chally 2 lower hull pretty easily with My PUMA before and Even ammo racked it
The Q-5L is literal garbage. It gets two small 90kg TNT bombs and nothing else. An actual waste of a spawn. It also has no flares or missiles so it will get eradicated by other CAS instantly.
The Q-5L at 9.7 has:
- 2 (TWO) small 90kg bombs (no other useful weaponry).
- No flares.
An A-10 at 10.3 has:
- 4 AIM-9Ls for killing fighters.
- SIX (6) AGMs with 20km of range.
- 500 flares for avoiding SPAA and CAS missiles at that BR.
The Israeli A-4 at 9.7 (same BR as Q-5L) has:
- 2 Shafrir missiles for killing fighters.
- Two (2) walleye TV guided bombs with 260kg TNT.
- Three (3) TV guided AGM-65As with a 20km range.
OR - One 2000lb TV guided bomb.
Along with flares for avoiding SPAA and CAS missiles.
So I’d appreciate it if you didn’t mention the Q-5L in the same breath, as it should be 9.0 in its current state.

The ones with more TNT aren’t laser+iog. They’re regular laser. And there’s also only two of them.

Well you are probably looking at some other plane that is not the Q-5L. This plane gets 2 laser guided bombs and a targeting pod.
The laser+iog bombs are 90kg TNT, there are two of them. And it doesn’t get flares.
You are clearly responding to me saying that it’s a 9.7 plane that gets 2 small bombs and nothing else.
And you are repeating what I’ve already said. So perhaps this is a case of miscommunication?
Maybe you think those two tiny bombs are somehow OP? Despite me making a comparison with two other planes?

Its always annoying me af, when Abrams/Leo/etc. just lolpen my Sprut/BMP-3/2S38, with wide as hell shrapnel dispersion.
Because, their armor is thin (1), and made by aluminium alloy (2), for reduce armor fragmentation after pen.
And still, when my LT, been shot in very little part of armor (almost ricoshot), it makes shrapnel dispersion, which killing all crew.
Or that Abrams reload buff?
Yes, when loader is killed - Abrams reload slower…
But it still faster, then T-72/90/Sprut.
Only 80U/BVM can reload faster (only when loader dead), but by price of sit in gunpowder barrel, when Abrams, with blowed ammo, aint give a heck.

I mean it ha 2 500kg guided bombs which is 2 “free” kills on an airframe that puts it out of harms way from anything but air to air missiles.
All im saying is the Q-5L is more than what is implied.

Two “free” kills? Again, did you not see the comparison with other vehicles?
If the Q-5L has “two free kills”, then the Ayit at the exact same BR has 2 + 2 + 3 = SEVEN “free” kills while being immune to most SPAA at that BR because IRCCM missiles such as the ones on the PGZ04A still go for flares.
If the Q-5L at least had flares + anti air missiles to defend itself from enemy fighters (like what other CAS around that BR have), I’d be fine with only two tiny bombs because you could also kill fighters (which are arguably more valuable targets) and be less vulnerable.
As it stands - the Q-5L is quite literally one of the worst planes in the game. Especially in Air RB, where it’s essentially a Q-5 early (a plane that deserves to be 8.7) - except a Q-5 early is BR 9.0 in Air RB, and not 9.7.
The only good Q-5 is the Q-5A at 9.0, which is essentially a Q-5 Early except with slightly better engines and FLARES and a ballistic computer. At the same BR of 9.0… The Q-5L is the bad Q-5 Early except at 0.7 BR higher because it’s got two 90kg TNT laser bombs. One of the most poorly placed BRs in the entire game, along with the M41D which is in a very similar boat, and overtiered for very similar reasons.

Yes, and that bomb has 200kg of explosive. Not 500. And it’s not laser+iog. It’s regular laser.
