The '292 has extensive documentation, and can be seen and evaluated IRL.
Name me one Soviet / Russian vehicle that doesn’t have either, and then take a look around the entirety of the game and tell me which other nations’ prototypes fit this criteria.
Right so if they even manage to find the smallest bit of terrain to hide their LFP and if you somehow hit the drivers hatch of a moving tank from a distance… I must just be ThE wOrSt Wt PlAyEr EvEr… the breach on that thing is so large it will often soak up all the spall.
Meanwhile, they can pen you ANYWHERE, so can do it relatively easily while on the move. How is that even comparable?
The breech should only be stopping spall from going through it, the crew member next to it should still die, also the breech itself should be disabled allowing you a follow up shot.
I think that’s the kicker for the 292, it has armour better than the T-80B, T-80B mobility and a god gun. Obviously it has downsides to balance it out but I do think it seems a little under-tiered.
Vertical traverse is atrocious. It’s slower than you and has double your reload time. In the time it can “pen you everywhere” you can get off two rounds. If you don’t disable it on your first shot you should consider playing through the American Tech Tree normally rather than buying an XM-1 so you learn some good ole’ track and barrel torture at ~5.0
The stat cards for people who play the 292 are showing it has a win rate above average. Id expect it to be moved to 10.3. Prolly not any higher though.

Pantsir is literally at best on-par with all other 11.7s, TOR-M1 is slightly better. Pantsir’s effective range against jets is 12km, identical to ITO-90.
2S38’s analogue is Strf 9040C, 2S38’s only advantage is more pen [which is why I’ve argued that 2S38 is 0.3 BR more than Strf 9040C].
Su-25K is a mid CAS aircraft that SPAA refuses to kill a lot of the time. It’s better in air RB.
Is Object 292 drastically OP?
No where near as much as EBR, PUMA, etc were on introduction.
I’d say 292 is as OP as M24 currently is.
If you have issues with Object 292, I think you already have issues with T-64BV, T-72 89, and TURMS, I’ve played the T-64B and it has no problem OHKO anything it sees even 10.3 Abrams, on top of having better armor and it has that extra 1 degree gun depression and reload 3 seconds quicker too, even funnier I can do better in the T-64B at 10.0 than the Object 292 at 10.0, maybe I sucks and hadn’t figured out how to play the 292.
I feel like players who have ground up to the higher ranks should be fine dealing with it. Every russian mbt after like 9.0 has the same exact weak spots. I have been aiming the exact same for every russian mbt it works.
The firepower is the only real advantage that it has and that is held back by sub-par gun handling and reload. It is also missing things that dont mean too much on their own but add up.
I find that this talk is similar to when the tog got released. Some people just looked at the gun and decent armor and said “this needs to be 6.0”. This happens everytime an event vehicle is released simply due to frustration from the spam.
Complaining in a cringe way ain’t gonna get you support. Make some claims why you thinks it’s too powerful and should be either nerfed or moved up in BR. Whining ain’t gonna help man.

Not surprised. It is simply due to the spamming of it rn. When 80% of the enemy team is a 292, chances are pretty high that a 292 will kill you. Then people think “most of my deaths are from 292s so it must be op”
