İ usually launch them right after i get into 10km range against any Sam system in my Mirage2000 and can easily dodge them during that time considering how fast and agile Mirage2k is, on the other hand i never saw a Jaguar player that can do it effectively.
You can see where my curious comes from in this case.
You don’t particularly need high g performance past 12km. Most jets past 12km will be trying to climb to drop GBUs or atgms. At those altitudes pulling high G maneuvers is a non-starter.
You don’t need to pull high G, you just need to go fast.
Mach 0.9< perpendicular requires a lot of sustained Gs from missiles which for Pantsir’s it cannot keep up.
Neither can Roland 3s.
I cannot fully speak on VT-1 at this time but it did keep up in tests done a month prior.
The issue isn’t Obj292, I think it’s perfectly balanced as it is. The issue is the gigantic 152mm HE and the overpressure mechanism that one shot kills MBTs. And this is probably not gonna get addressed by Gaijin because K9 Vidar $$$$$$$$
I’ll drop the replay here at some point. Just got out of a match where I put 5 darts through the front of this thing. The rounds went through the driver, through the whole tank. No damage at all… Went through the drivers section and to the rear of the tank down to the tracks. No damage. I was totally flabbergasted. I made sure to save it, but this thing is ridiculous.
Pantsir can hit in the launch conditions described with no dodging providing they use manual mode. Auto mode shafts the user untill about 4km range it would seem.
tests done at 3.5km to 6.5km altitude. So possibly there could be some difference at higher altitudes above 6.5km
Worth noting that light dodging will save you at the longer ranges and in the 4-6.5km altitude against manual mode and especially auto mode.
i think that explains the tests results roughly ok.
So when you said:
So this could in fact be true, because people are using auto mode. Or unconcious manouvers during battle saves the user unintentionally at sufficient range and altitude.
If other test conditions want to be tested, i will leave that to others, ive got dailies to do.
