The problem is that gaijin had the ability to make a competitive 14.3 for America in the form of the F-15GE without the need for the EX for a bit longer, but chose to add a half baked addition (as expected from them for any nation at this point…) And just because one nation had it good for too long doesn’t mean they should be shafted. (Which tbf most nations have been shafted recently thanks to the eurofighter and rafale.)
That’s not the experience I’ve had with AIM-120C-5s on my F-18C.
For me, they’ve been a clear upgrade increasing hit chances at the ranges I want to use them.
I have a feeling information is being spread without hard data to back it up, because the C-5 is not worse than the B.
I’ve been hearing this exact argument about R-77-1 for much longer, and I’ve dismissed those arguments as well.
I see why I am comfortable with the AIM-120C-5: I’ve used the Super-530D prior, which has similar acceleration and worse agility.
F-14, everyone struggled against it; F-16A is better than Mig29when come to the game and still best, because of the complaints, it came without the R73 and has one of the worst FM in this game; F-15A and Su-27 were evenly matched, with the Su-27 being better because of the R27ER; and then the USA returned to the top with the F-15C MSIP, the era we all know as Spamram, fly high with your F-15, drop AIM-120s and nobody can touch you up there; Su-27SM at that time didn’t even have the improved engines of the Su-27SM-3, and no other nation had BVR equivalents; then came the F-15E, fly side-by-side with the ISS, drop AIM-120s on the other side of the galaxy and remain untouchable at Mach 2; then came the European fighters and spoiled the USA’s playground.

Holy F it doesn’t. The Typhoon outaccelerates the damn F-15E at altitude, outurns it too at any speed, any alt. The only thing the F-15E does better is ripping at a slightly higher Mach 2 number than the Eurofighter. That’s literally it.

To be honest, I also don’t see the reason for the F-15GE’s existence in the game. There are less than 30 days until we get news of the game’s biggest update, and it would be better for the US to jump to the F-15EX.
As long as you never show up in threads about Russian weapons, it makes no difference.
Yup, it would have been better if they just left America without a vehicle for this update and gave them the EX with everyone else

The F-15E has 7.1 degrees per second at mach 1.42 at 9100 meters altitude with missiles attached.
The Typhoon has 6.3 degrees per second at mach 1.42 at 9100 meters altitude with missiles attached.
These aren’t my opinions, these are blatant facts.
There’s a sensible difference between you and me where your gatekeep doesn’t apply. Unlike you, I happen to like playing most of nations, I don’t spend most of the time lobotomized on a single nation.

The B has a booster engine lasting 1.7 seconds and a sustainer lasting 5.3 seconds. The C has a single-stage engine lasting 7.8 seconds, weaker than the B booster but slightly stronger than the B sustainer giving it very slightly more total velocity but less sheer power right away.
The AIM-120A/B also pull harder, especially off the rail. So when you couple that with the better acceleration, it’s easier and faster to hit a target at around 10km with them than it is with the C. Easier for offbore shots too. Read the datamined stats for yourself here:

I ignored your original point because it was made on bad faith, end of story. I quoted my whole argument, not the part who you chose to frame me in.
That means the US shouldn’t get a technological advantage without expecting an understandable outrage. Therefore the AIM-9X shouldn’t be considered if (and only if) there’s other solutions being considered to fix the F-15C GE. I’m honestly baffled I have to explain this to you and you didn’t managed to properly figure it out.
