Given the rafale we see in game being from 2019, i doubt the AESA on the golden eagle would be nearly as modern, should be more powerful though so more range
On the other hand, imagine how broken the eft would be with an accurate radar (and good missiles)
It would massively close the gap to Rafale, for all AMRAAM users who can Bvr

f14a and f14b ARE bad tho. You are gona get smoked by the iranian f14 every match, they are everywhere. imo the iranian f14 should be at 13.3 but i doubt it will go up

French started AESA way later, so they are probably equal in being modern while APG-63v3 is way bigger
RBE2-AA is also not that new, first production one delivered in 2012
Also the Rafale should have been a PESA carrier (standards 1-3) but that’s another problem
Not sure if that logic is applicable to modern avionics, just look how sweden advanced from relatively primitive radars to the first proper PD/TWS and now one of the first gimballed AESA radars.
Chronological evolution doesn’t apply when investment is concerned, where it would for say engines or stealth (china is only now surpassing russian engines with their own designs)

The Rafale should have been so much, no idea why Gaijin decided to put the pretty much best possible Rafale into the game

Well looking back in hindsight, what we as a community should have lobbied Gaijin for is early variants of the Eurocanards, we got an early gripen, so why not an early Rafale or EFT, both of which would have been more on par with competition, leading us to now, when the Eurocanards we know in game should’ve been added in this december patch
even then, there were 5 different US fighter AESA programs being done at the time, with many billions being put into it, and 3 of those were Raytheon alone (APG-63v3 manufacturer)
Now look at the French, the RBE2-AA is actually developed during 2000’s as Frances very first AESA, and afaik it was the only French fighter AESA so the French had no experience with AESA beforehand.
so i dont think its unreasonable to think APG-63v3 is equal to or more modern than the RBE2-AA when they were both developed during the same time
They could’ve just gave the F-15E its AN/APG-82(V)1 together with BOL and increase it to 14.3. Boom, no need for another 430k rp, but you know gaijin
