They could’ve literally added half-broken/messed-up AIM-120Ds for the new F/A-18E Super Hornet, and I’d honestly be fine with it XD

Okay so funny thing.

The AMBER rack “could” fit on the middle belly pylon because it has the MIL-STD-1760 connection confirmed by the presence of the Sniper ATP pod on the war thunder F-15C GE

But on the belly side pylons? No I agree that the F-15C doesn’t have the setup for the AMBER rack.
This goes down a big rabbit hole of the ANG F-15C’s being air superiority fighters not being used for bombs at all…

they are identical to 120C5 but with a longer battery life

thats just a placeholder to be fair boosters arnt usually modeled till the missiles are close to being added, same with the pl15

meanwhile the GE getting tons of strike eagle stuff and GBU-8s not in service for decades before the first one rolled off the production line in 2010…

the radar could use a second look from the devs as well since all the new aesa radars are getting full scan modes the F15GE should Get a full 140 scan mode as well

F4J VS F18A, F16A, F16s which are 13.0 and under, F4F ICE , Tornado F3 late, Gripen, etc

You can compete with the early F-18 and F-16 but against modern Fox 3 and the Gripen with its broken FM and crazy CM, you are completely outperformed

So they’re intentionally wrong?

I’m assuming the they is meant to be a then. then essentially yes, however they feel its close enough that its not worth either looking into further or bug fixing

You cannot compete against a an F18A or F16A in an F4J at all.

Yup! I still think I won’t buy and grind it this very update ahem—F/A-18E, AESA EFs, Su-30SM2, Naval Rafale—, but at least there’s something different and interesting enough from the MSIP II to eventually come back and give it a try.

Hopefully by then, decompression will arrive.

I’m conflicted about going for the Super Hornet at all.

I wanted to go for it because 14 missiles and I like hurting myself, but now the GE is just straight up better lol.

But hey at least you get to use 6 mavericks on the 18E now lol

It may seem contradictory to go for the Super Hornet and not the GE, but honestly, the Hornet series doesn’t try to pretend being ARB meta due to its core perks. You just simply can’t make it work like other planes, it has its own playstyle.

Meanwhile, the F-15C pretended to land as meta by its avionics, CMs and —allegedly— missiles, while still lacking the flight performance of a 14.3 entirely, that’s why I considered it way subpar.

Though now, by having in mind its going to be a proper supersonic missile bus, it can adopt a reasonably different playstyle by having more missiles to spare. It may get interesting, that I can concede entirely.
