F-15EX is powercreep, and I think Gaijin wanted to avoid powercreep in this update.

The F-15C is niche at best because the only thing it brings to the US tree is the radar. Even though most of the jets in top tier are capable of an AESA radar
F-18C/D - fitted w/ AN-APG 79
F-15E - fitted w/ AN-APG82(v)1
F-16 - fitted w/ AN/APG-83
They would have done better with
F-16CJ - add HARM targeting system to game. Functionally a fancy RWR. HARMs added or not doesn’t matter. The Apache already partially has this system in game.
A-16 - F-16 w/ A10 cannon brrt make it even funnier and slowly damage the airframe when it fires
Or actually letting people customize their drones like the MQ-1 to upgrade to the MQ-9 or a global hawk for scouting ability
Agreed the EX would be power creep. 100%
F-15E (Late) with the AN/APG-82 would probably be the next USA drip feed step.
Fix the “only one tgp” issue and let them have both the lantirn and the sniper at the same time.
adding ASQ-236 dragons eye and upgrading the air to ground radar system in game might be a bit more power creep-ish

Not likely. The outer pylons on F15 are only avaliable after F15EX introduced fly-by-wire control. The previous models restricted them due to stability under hydro-mechanical control.
there is already an accepted bug report for it to get MRML pylons on stations 2 and 8 which would increase missile count to 12
they just havent implemented it for some reason despite this plane not at all belonging at 14.3 in its current state

Don’t worry, its simply an effort to point out an error in the specified configuration. And if it were to ever be actioned as prompted. Permit other reports to be re-reviewed based on the new specification and as such implemented.

Really cuts down on the potential options gaijin has for a “suitable” configuration opening up new stores and electronics options.
Basically it’s an effort to get an additional USAF F-4 implemented to resolve the issue, a Late F-4E, or F-4G would be suitable.

The radar is dooky, C5’s don’t pull, and track on to missiles fired by targets

Yeah, for some reason the AIM-120C-5 are worse than the base version… They’re like 1% faster OVER 30km, which is pretty much irrelevant.

Update: just got it. Played a handful of games in both RB and like 10 mins in SB.
Pros:
- I CAN SEE EVERYTHING
- infinite chaff
Cons:
- F-15C GE (also the non-AESA F-15C) is weirdly slower than the F-16C to accelerate to M1.3+ (pretty sure it should be the opposite of this?)
- USA teammates means getting team killed far more often (at least in SB, RB is 50/50)
Anyways, taking a conservative play style with this is much better than the “in your face”/“fly straight into furball”/“fly right and profit” most people are used to with F-15E/Eurofighter/Rafale/Gripen. Oh, for the moment I’m still mostly stock, will be back soon enough. Track my stats daddy 🥺

F-15C thrust curves have been wrong and its had less thrust than F-15A below ~mach 0.9 or so since it was added

It’s accepted for further investigation.
Said investigation can result in the MRML’s being dismissed, irrelevant of our personal opinions.
F-15C is 171 seconds to mach 1.5.
F-16C is 189 seconds to mach 1.5.
The gaslight around the F-15C GE being decent or even good will blow like a bubble when statshark releases November stats, as it’ll get familiar stats to the late hornet (which isn’t particularly great either).
I’ve been checking stats of some GE players on public games, and my humble sampling shows around 0.80ish kills per death, which actually is pretty similar performance to the F/A-18C late stats on March 2025 when introduced.
