I’m going to doubt this, the lot 21 (AIM-9X Block II PLUS) were at ~380k per unit, if you average things out across all lots the unit price is about ~440k or so.
I would hope War Thundee tries to mimic real world
Differences between systems
With the amount of missing feature the plane has it feels like the devs just rushed out a copy past of the f15c with a new radar so they can say the US has a top tier jet.
There’s a lot that goes into what missiles a nation uses than just raw stats, all 3 missile are very comparable and close in performance.
UPDATE:
Still not even touched

True but in the case of Spain, Saudi and Italy they already have the established supply chain and have opted for the German missile
the -9 has a higher g load and improved irccm, so it would pull like 35-40G’s and be the best at long range irccm.
The F15C GE is my first top-tier, I find it absurd to have wasted all this time on an aircraft that is 20 years older than the Rafale…
Objectively, they should be divided based on historical context, the Rafale must compete with the F22, not the F15…
What a shame to read this. Not a single player deserves that junk as their first ever top tier jet.
35g for aim9m could be a baseline in and on itself source on it vary, but single plane i saw between 32/35 gs.
GE is 2010ish upgrade program, no?
yeah but considering its got almost not of the upgrade features in game it mite as well be the 20 year old version
Doesn’t fit the narrative that “wahhh all US vehicles are 20 years behind the competition”, which was never true in the first place lol
Should be operating within the realms of IRIS-T, and chinese seeker tech is very good, given that everything later than the PL-8 has an IIR or dual band seeker
I will never understand why they added late version of rafale it literally breaks everything micas got thrust vectoring has only aesa radar in the game shits fucked up
i also dislike the rafale and it has many problems, but its not the only aesa radar theirs the f-2, f15GE kfir 10 and even the su 30 and su34 since all aesa are modeled as if their pesa.
Same engines as the previous model.
Identical missiles (Aim 120C and 120A are basically the same).
In the US, in the 2000s they already had the F22.
F15EX would have been a better choice, the C is obsolete.
I think he’s talking about the seekers on the Micas seeker
As it should, C-model F-15s never got an engine upgrade (beyond the PW-220s).
Idk, I think an F-15E with AESA would’ve been the easier stopgap than the C if speed is the thing most of you want; plus F-15EX isn’t that much different from E aside from a few bits and bobs here and there (especially in a normal ARB setting).
- MICA isn’t the only missile in the game with thrust vectoring. Radar, yes; but that’s by design and it’s in a nerfed state as it is right now.
- Not the only AESA radar in the game.
Nah, he’s definitely (and incorrectly) assuming the Rafale is the only jet with AESA radar in the game…
Yeah e has better flight performance than the ex, so having it with aesa instead of ge would’ve been much better
