Apparently, a lot of the people in here talking smack don’t even have the plane. The GE is nice. Certainly, the worst 14.3, but every br will have a worst vehicle, and 14.3 is no exception. I think it should be 14.0, but the aircraft is still nice at 14.3, especially since currently there isn’t much of a difference between the two.
I agree that there is a worst plane at every br but this is top tier we’re talking about the disparity should not be this big

I really dont see how anyone can argue that it belongs at its current BR
I would honestly take epaws and fm buff then it can be 14.0
if they fixed the fm
and the low speed thrust
and the missile pull
and gave it MRML racks
then I could see it as competitive at 14.3

So, unlocked the F15c GE the night of the update and had slowly stock grinded it in my free time up till today and can say, its not actually that bad, its just underwhelming I was expecting it to be an average upgrade, its not like it’s a new variant it was primarily a service life upgrade for the F15c’s so wasn’t too disappointed.
To be fair the stock grind was designed by Satan, when grinding through chaff and to the AMRAAM’s my stats were pretty shit, but once you get to the AMRAAM’s it was pretty easy to drop3-5 kill games consistently even before they fixed the radar scan scopes.
However that doesn’t mean it isn’t in a bad spot, its currently very lazily implemented missing a large majority of features, that they have either already acknowledged or passed for suggestion, i.e. MRML, Legion IRST, and the EPAWSS. we know this from them not updating the radars scan options until a few days after release, the model still having visual bugs, NTCR getting added the day of the update, MFD’s missing screen displays like the thermal viewer of the sniper pod, not being able to equip a BOL rack to the stock AMRAAM’s while you could do it for the aim9m’s and the fact that they added it with out one of its major upgrades the IRST pod because it wasn’t ready yet which is fair this was a really short update window from leviathans but instead of delaying it, to properly implement it they just added it anyways.
My own personal notes from actually playing it, still an f15c its very good at BVR if your losing with it without getting at least 2 kills consistently you don’t know how to play BVR, (not meant in a insulting way.) does as many pointed out suffer from weakish engines for the Br, but this only means your at Mach 1.4-5 at the same time the enemy is at Mach 1.6-7 which sucks but isn’t that much difference when playing in game.
Radar seems fucked at the moment shit ton of ghosting but I was noticing the same problem with my Rafale radar as well so is probably another bug, nothing new I guess.
It most definitely cannot go down in Br, it and the F15E should not have the possibility to face 13.0 and even large numbers of 13.3, that doesn’t mean they are Rafale level though. They both really should be 14.3 while the EFT is 14.7-15.0 alongside the rafale.
FM is still fucked sadly, this one was especially surprising waiting in the DEV for that to be fixed, they didn’t then waited for it to possibly be on live like the NTCR and it wasn’t, this one is a shame my guess is it will most likely coincide with the addition of the IRST or with the MRML.
Also it has AMRAAM’s so like most AMRAAM carriers it sucks without being launched at early BVR engagement ranges or while the enemy is distracted within 10km. I do wish to see them actually un-nerf AMRAAMS especially variants like the C-5 but that still wont fix the problem, since the EFT will be carrying them as well.( doesn’t mean they shouldn’t un-gimp a large amount of the different fox 3’s in game, like even the MICA which is currently overpowered isn’t even implemented accurately.)
Last thing the BOL is quite nice it wasn’t really a issue, but the ability to carry 120 flares while still carrying 740 chaff makes it less stressful keeping track of the speed that you release your chaff while defending many missiles.
Side note really wished there was a button to filter out small, and rocket based radar returns like SPAA cause its really cluttered and hard to target without using cyclic targeting and its especially obvious on AESA jets.

If they fix the bugs with the radar I would have fun in it, but now it’s a 50-50.

I mean it’s still an F-15. Like whether it belongs at 14.3 or 14.0 is a fair discussion, but it’s still overall hard to not do at least decent in an F-15.
I mean even with the radar working against you in the F-15C GE it’s hard to do truely bad. Not to mention that 14.0-14.3 can absolutely farm Su-30MK2s currently.

You know it is actually slow.
Only where it is starting to be “speed monster” is in 10km alt.
But why not, EF, typhoons and rafales beat you in if you start going in there.
And yep, had to test su30’s and nope radar works like a charm in there, no ghosts, or randomly losing targets, and keeping soft lock, keeps your radar elevated on target.
This is just so miserable , that it should never even made in 14.3.
Could just foldered under MSIP II and kept it max 14.0
Honorable mention also on AESA , when it doesnt actually give you any edge during grinding,
Shame that those 7M’s, doesnt benefit from it, if you could track targets on it, even that would make this grinding a little better. But in current state, JUST DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON GOLDEN EAGLE.
Now we can actually say, streamers and youtubers reviews of this plane are correct and some even better compared to what this really is. Just a free xp pinata to any top tier plane
you cant have a 14.3 with 8 aim120s(you really shouldnt carry 8 aim120s, at least 1 aim9m is usefull), without at least some insane flight perfomance to make up for the bad armament

I will gladly play my GE over the normal F-15C, because I play 14.3 every game with both regardless. I just wish they would fix the GE’s radar.
Some of us have cursed matchmaking.
I grinded 80% solo on msip II and saw that also, but then last grind was with my firend who played J10 and after that, nearly every game was 12,7 / 13.0
this POS coming in the state that it’s in, where the only selling point of improved radar is bugged and nonfunctional, with all the other nonsensical bugs plaguing it, the fact that they have wasted our time with such a garbage vehicle is frankly insulting

My friends always tell me about how they play X br with Y vehicle or lineup and how they always get downtiers, but as soon as I join them or try to play the exact same vehicle/lineup I only get uptiers.
I have just accepted that the matchmaker simply hates some of us.
