Not wasting my time with the F-15C "Golden Eagle"

Yes super cruise at 1.05 with a drag index of just 20

Meanwhile typhoon can do like 1.3 or more with a full weapons loadout.

1.02 is hardly supercruise

Also 25 doesn’t sound correct for a full missile kit show the index table.

If they add drag, Typhoon would experience changes however like the F-15 they use recessed pylons to reduce drag.

Typhoons engine power and raw performance would also see an improvement over F-15 and Su-27/30/35 as the induced drag on a Su-35 carrying 14 missiles and an F-15 carrying 12-16 missiles would also be huge.

Don’t say that you might upset the eagle glazer.

IT CAN SUPER CRUISE its blistering at 1.02 Mach with some weapons on it. That also being the eagle with the most powerful engines on it.

It’s impressive how obsessed a person can be over 1 vehicle.

interesting tho if I was that obsessed with a single vehicle I would at least try to get lights out performance and stats in said vehicle.

I’ve made lots of reports on it not my problem if Gaijin does nothing.

did you really make your blatantly false claims after only seeing charts for a version with worse engines and not even checking the drag indexs?

typhoon has more non recessed pylons
and a lower overall drag and thrust, so it would be a much larger percent increase

I’ve look at several variants. I also remember reading that super cruise is generally against the manual as they say don’t do it. Based on that the drag index comes out to about 20 or so using the FAST packs or the -3 CFT tanks when I showed the chart with -4 tanks with the pylons on them.

Your super cruise point is still silly as its .05% over mach 1 with weapons. With the -4 Pack it would be well below Mach 1.

The Chart you provided actually comes out to 2 pylons on the wings with the dual adaptors for the sidewinders and 4 flush mounted 120A.

really?

because it can hit ~0.98 at 10k ft military power with -5 CFT (the only one listed for planes with -229 engines but you clearly dont know enough about F-15s to understand that they cant use the -4)

which if you take that as an input to the earlier chart you get a drag index of just under 40 for CFT and a full air to air load with AIM-7s which are higher drag than AIM-120s

You know what makes this even funnier?

His whole recent bent on the F-15 and advocating for getting it nerfed / misinterpreting it’s documentation is most likely a reaction to a bug report regarding the Harrier overperforming in terms of sustained turn rate.

Bug reporters name is @YEARoftheEAGLE and that is why Matrix is obsessed with it now.

Yeah but also weighs half of what an F-15 does

weight doesnt have a big impact on top speed or drag

if anything thats more evidence that EFT would be more affected

sounds about right given how blatantly wrong much of what hes saying is

It’s actually underperforming

I couldn’t care less about it in all honesty.

We just checked the F-15A for fun.

Still doesn’t change my points about drag values on the harrier or any of the various war time power ratings.

Your bug reporter also verified that the harrier 1 is significantly underperforming in its sustained turn performance.

It does on thrust and acceleration, climb rate
