There are rumors that the latest improved version of the 99A in 2025 will increase the launch capability of the Type 98 120mm anti tank rocket
On paper maybe. We still have no clue about either its flight or its system performances.
Most countries are capable of flying test beds with only an airframe and a few spare engines and call it 6th gen from far away, pixelated pictures.
Having an actual, working, lethal prototype is a whole other level
From the image we can see many distinguishable parts, multi array AESA, EODAS, hugeweapon bay, far more than just a simple test platform like EAP or X-2(Japan).
China seldom made this kind of test planes, they spended a lot on their wind tunnel labs to make them the best, so they do most of these kinds of pre-test indoors.

WTF? that doesn’t make sense
It should at least add missile launchers. Also there were leaked pictures of the APS earlier, these improvements should have been made at the same time
Wonder if ngad will have quantum computers, maybe not initially, but upgraded down the line
quantum computers is not useful for military planes for now, you may be surprised by how bad the computer in modern planes, they usually aim for reliability, not calculating speed, may be even slower than your smart phone.
- The computers on say, the F-35, are very advanced, it’s called a flying supercomputer for a reason
- Quantum computers could have lots of advantages for EW tasks
it’s compared to older planes, military compter and civilian computer are 2 different world.
the slow computer from civilian view is enough for processing all the information.
just no, the things weigh in the tons yet still haven’t achieved a real use case (except for further research) and require cooling to absolute zero making it quite space intensive too. If NGAD is ahead of China like you claim quantum won’t be ready for it.
You have a point about the weight, but I did say an upgrade down the line not the initial service ngad
Plus it would be far easier to put on an AWACs
Maybe 7th gen ac would be my guess
Quantum computers are still in their early stage. NGAD is probably going to come out before we get a small and efficient quantum computer.
That’s not even getting into the practical issues with quantum computers (e.g. needing to be cryogenically cooled, or the error rate)
Imagine seeing a gaming quantum computer in 2050. Hopefully WT will exist till then
Vadnik, one of the ugliest military vehicles ever made but id like to see this and the 30mm version.
Oh, look, another SPAA for the Soviet Union! /hj
There’s a infinite amount of SPAA for them.
So this is functional because you just feel that china doesnt make fake planes?
