More folders? Gaijin adding a sixth line (would help in big TT like USA, USSR and Germany even in smaller TT that have subtrees that can give stuff and also reducing the total rp needed to go to the next vehicle)?

3 vehicle as researchable with one domestic to the Swiss and rest premium and events take it or leave it.
This is the fate of a sub-tree in a tree without room even more so when it’s still missing it’s own equipment. Ex. South Africa air and BeNeLux ground, oh and India who’s been a sub-tree longer then nations that have twice the number of vehicles in the tree yet has barely any vehicles with the ones they do have are either forgettable (every ground vehicle but the SQV) or unobtanium (aircraft).

I’m staying copeful they’ll add a lot of unique designs for the areas where Germany actually lack. But I do feel we’ll get like a centurion and like some WW2 tank destoryer lmao

Well, I can see a sixth line useful, as some nations need it without sub-trees, but it’s a poor fix for sub-nations. It’s like fixing a broken pipe with duct tape rather than replacing it.
As most nations that are sub-nations need 2+ lines, even more so for those that if you remove the representation part of sub-nations, only bring 1-2 vehicles to the host (Germany, UK, France) that they couldn’t fill themselves.
What we need is a replacement pipe (also known as what is the most linked suggestion):
Also, this is the same company that thinks next-to-impossible grind is fun. So I see it going up the requirement to unlock new ranks with more lines.

Yes, as were the Mowag Shark Hulls the FL-20, FL-12, and Crotale turrets were mounted on, they too were meant for export, that doesn’t mean they don’t belong in the Swiss subtree
Just because a vehicle or turret is developed for export doesn’t mean it’s not French, Swiss, etc

It’s Swiss not French, it’s like saying Eurofighter is American because it’s has American stuff on it or that the Leopard 2A8 is Greek because Greece has exported it
Correct. And the only place they should go is within Germany. France has many options to fill their wheeled light tanks. There’s already 3 nations in france there’s 0 need for swiss vehicles aswell.
Its like sayng this should go to the American TT as well only and only because it was an American turret

2K needs imo to be full of domestic German stuff tbh I don’t care for any of the swiss Leopards maybe they can fit as events or squadron vehicles but I’d rather see domestic German designs like the revolution or atd for modern 2a4s

As stated earlier, the FL-20 turret is a French design, and it’s only instance in game is paywalled, France should have access to the unique and interesting vehicles that it jointly developed
I’d argue the entire turret module being French (or Swedish w/regard to the Bofors Trinity turrets) are a more significant portion of overlap than American components on the eurofighter

Because it was a export turret. It was never ment for the french the fl20 is french but it shouldn’t mean a swiss tank should be in France. It should be with hre swiss sub tree and no where close to France

While I wouldn’t argue against it, those are very different levels of collaboration, as the M24 turrets were spares that France had sitting around, while the FL-20 turrets were mounted with the intention of garnering contracts (ergo future profits for Fives-Cail)
Still the fact is that in the program France didn’t do anything (or Sweden) it was 100% Swiss even if the components weren’t,

I see what your on about french = add it in France no matter what but if it dares use anything french from another nation even if it had nothing to do with France it should be in France as well
That was as a company not as the nation, it’s like saying everything that has the L7 gun should go to Britain, because a component was designed and made in France it doesn’t make French everything it touches

Did both companies work on the vehicle from start to finish? That’s a joint project. Otherwise, it’s one nation’s project just with exported equipment; otherwise, we could start arguing every MBT with an L7 is a joint project with the UK.
If the French company didn’t do anything past selling the turret, then under that logic this is a British-American vehicle despite neither nation having worked on developing it (or using it)
War Thunder is also a game of operators; the addition priority is as follows:
- Who used it
- Who tested it
- Who built it
Of course, there are more nuances like stuff built by a subsidiary going to the nation the subsidiary has a home in. Or the US mains being able to cry loud enough they get stuff they had nothing to do with. Unless your logic is “other nation built this part, it’s joint,” even if the nation built the part had nothing to do with it. Then at that point it’s a joint project with the US even tho they rejected the vehicle without testing, along with other things that make it have no connection to the US.

Also Pakistan, that got pushed out of any techtree vehicles because Chinese players said they preferred their own vehicles.
Not an unreasonable thing to want, but it’s insane that there can’t just be both and one nation has to suffer from anothers decision.
