Less MBTs and supermodern garbage that’s just “some NATO gun on slightly different hull”. Give us WW1 toasters or bring back some old events for once.
Gap between Tiger II and M48A2 C is prominent, best I could come up with is a Tiger II with late production upgrades that were designed and built but never installed on any vehicles. This, perhaps alongside some sort of late war 88mm APHEDS (if such a thing exists), would almost certainly justify a BR of 7.0+.
In the medium line you could see one last Panther added at 6.3, unfoldered but better than the others.

At 7.0 you could see, as I previously mentioned, the Team B prototypes for the Leopard 1.

At 7.3 or 7.7 in the medium line you have the freedom to choose another Leopard 1 prototype, perhaps with an alleged autoloader like on B-1 or some other quirk.
True, for some reason I was thinking the spaced armor mod covered the hull, but nevermind.
You mentioned the gap being “7.0-8.7”, I was thinking the T-54s would work for some of the upper echelons. The T-54AMZ for example would be a nice 8.0 that isn’t completely copy paste.
This is only in the Cold War period, of which there are few with a caliber higher than 20mm, but in the modern era, there are many, so I think it’s a fair tradeoff. There are plenty of actual light tanks and IFVs to fill the late mid tier ranks though, so I disagree that Swiss vehicles are needed.
These are the only “good” Cold War era wheeled heavy hitters I could find, save for a couple Fuchs variants with ATGMs and the Kraka with M40A1.
And for the record, I’d be fine with the 2 Shark LATS versions and Piranha LATS going to both German and Swiss trees, considering they’re collaboration vehicles.
That’s for the cold war and all the way until modern era and even during the war germany have never really had any light tanks with good firepower
There’s not really anything important to demand a br increase of any later war tiger 2 there was a stabilization system that was never made and from what I can find exists in one document by Krupp
At this point saying swiss trees or tree alone is just cope and that is really pushing collaboration far being pretty much all of it was rheinmetalls doing lmao swiss just gave the chassis and ended up testing it rheinmetall did all the work
To each their own, 7.7 was an acquired taste I guess, I just want more stuff their
how about the experimental stabiliser for Tiger II 😏
Romanian K9 Tunetul (Thunder) for Italy. Notice all the smoke grenades on the turret. It is basically just the VIDAR in game.
IMO the camo looks really nice. I hope they use it on their Abrams and K2 Black Panther.
Does it get a lrf? Because from what I remember the normal K9 doesn’t
Maybe
The Tunetul (Romania) has the same sights as the VIDAR, while the origonal K9 (South Korea) doesnt.
Romania bought abrams and K2? Romanian army kinda cooking with these purchases
well the K2 is still questionable. They have ordered 54 Abrams, But they plan to order 300-500 K2 Black Panthers. the did some testing on one back in 2024.
They are also planning on getting a new IFV and the Red Back (South Korean) is a contender.
The K9 Moukari for Sweden/Finland
The VIDAR should have made enough sales by now to let this thing be added at this point

inb4 people are going to get rather angry seeing either Italy or a Eastern Europe TT get a K2 Black Panther before Korea is even in the game. (Knowing Gaijin this is very much a possibility)
Really? Wheeled tanks I get, at least for the Cold War period, but do you seriously not think that Germany had produced tracked light tanks or tracked FSVs from the 70s and onwards? I could list examples if you wanted, but I want to be sure I’m getting you correctly here.
Supposedly it was tested on a Panther, but I’m not really the person you should be asking on that, I only learned about it from the removed vehicles thread. Nonetheless, if the 105mm on the Tiger II 105 only acts as a menial advantage over the standard long 88, then surely an upgraded engine and rangefinder would be enough to bump the KT to 7.0
And yet it was built specifically for the U.S. Marines, which means that it was not intended to establish Shark production in Germany, and therefore Mowag was still a crucial player in actually producing more of them.
Sadly we still lack “proper” evidence to support it having a stabilizer iirc, it’s the same as the V1 we have ingame I believe in this regard. All we know is it has a “fire on the move” capability, and gaijin assumes this means it can’t be stabilized (idk why they think that, seems obvious if you ask me, I guess every tank ever has fire on the move capability but they decided to advertise it here fo some reason? Hmm idk bout that one gaijin). (Also why mention the autoloader in particular? :frogthink:)
What it would have is a new Thermal sight, Laser Rangefinder, now has smoke grenades, (we literally have a laser rangefinder modeled on the V1, but alas gaijin doesn’t care), alongside the better gun (same as Pzh2000 & VIDAR) with the great Israeli HE rounds it has. Outside of those features in particular, the rest remains the same.
(Still want it ingame ofc, really nice follow-up to this, first should have been TT if you ask me, and hope this one will be)
Seems it has a faster loading system than the sholef v1.
This sounds like stabilizer, whats the point of saying your tank can fire in the move if its gonna miss all the shots due to cannon woobling vertically.
In resume, I want this thing because its the closest thing Israel can get and very similar to the pzh2000, vidar and the new british that do not remember the name. Instead of another m109. Just hope its not behind a paywall this time.
It’s the same one, the 6.67s in the suggestion post in from the 9rpm figure, which gaijin chose to ignore for the V1. Very sad (also if you’re gonna refer to that post, ignore it’s “60 degree turret traverse rate” figure lol, alongside it incorrectly saying it got the Merk Mk.3 engine or could use APFSDS, ofekk had a few things wrong in retrospect)
They did buff it in the end, but only slightly. When the Pzh2000 first came out, everyone was complaining about it lacking a burst fire, so they gave it one, and subsequently the Sholef it alongside it (it’s still not enough to reach 9rpm, but much better than it was).
EXACTLY! Literally no point to advertise it otherwise. However I do get why they think this way, as the same argument could be raised as to why it’s not directly advertised as being “stabilized” or having a stabilizer. Sadly doesn’t look like they’ll change their mind…
If it was biblically accurate, it would even surpass them I bet. The main problem yet to be fixed is that it weighs 15 tons excess still ingame (it eated the Merky Mk.4’s weight, that’s the gaijin lore of where that went and you can’t convince me otherwise lmao).

It’s also still missing ESS, which will be really helpful on the V2 with its thermals:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/qysY8IlIHwG7
And it has the wrong optics, 3.8-4.0x when it should be 8x:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/WcJiL4m8PEqP
I can happily settle for it getting its confirmed features, and the ones above, as if done correctly:
It would have one of the best Hp/t ratios ingame, one of the best HE rounds, one of the best muzzle velocities, a LRF, Thermals, smoke grenades, ESS, great hull armor, machine gun fire protected, and a good burst fire capability.
I do as well pray it’s not a premium, here’s to hoping!
Tbf I wouldn’t mind finally getting the M109A5 Doher to act as the follow-up to the M109A2 Rochev. Basically could be a Rochev with the Sholef V1 rounds, seemingly a LRF, and other things alongside the upgrades of being an A5, such as the slightly stronger engine. There’s also the SPARK prototype but idk too much about it myself, gets the kewl L/52 gun tho so that’s neato
I think you missed how I said of good firepower now a few do exist but wouldn’t help Germany fill gaps. Things like the Marder 105 or Marder 2 (with the 50mm) do exist and the newer kf41 fire support but most of our prototypes from the cold war were mainly ifvs with 25mm or 30mm guns what are really cool but theses simply aren’t good for war thunder
