Yes, but this one was kept at 5s in game. Someone mentioned tests of 5s reloads documented for XC-8 so potentially that could already be enough for Gaijin to keep it even if it seems this was only a few rounds rather than sustained iirc. But it could also be they just forgot the XC-8 with the reload change.

But if its the same reload system as the CT-CV and 3105s, then couldn’t all of them do 5s theoretically?
it is most likely that, i just hope it isn’t another case of a premium avoiding nerfs to sell more as a nerf from 5s to 7.5 makes the vehicle exponentially worse
arent reloads kinda just used as a balancing factory anyway? for example the loading of an L55A1 should be pretty similar to other nato 120s yet things like the Arietes and Abrams have a 5 second reload and the 2A7 has a 6 second reload

Really nice to see the Harimau added to the game, but there seems to be a few issues with the devblog still.
The gun is referred to as “rapid-fire”, which seems to be leftover from an old draft where the 3105 turret still had the 5s reload. 7.5s isn’t particularly fast at this BR.
The “CT-CV 105HP” doesn’t use the modular Cockerill 3000 series (like the 3105) but the CT-CV turret that’s very similar in performance but not modular.
It’s also very disappointing that we don’t see Belgian M1060CV ammunition added with it, especially when at this BR there is already equivalent M900 rounds found on vehicles like the M1128 Stryker. The round is commonly advertised with the 3105 turret and is used by Indonesia with their Harimau tanks.
This round is much requested for other vehicles too like the Leopard 1A5BE alongside other Belgian rounds, so I think this would be the ideal time to add it.

Generally yes, but I assumed this was always the case for manual or semi-automatic loaders (such as the Abrams and Leopards) since their loading speed IRL generally depends on the terrain they’re traveling on, the state of the vehicle and the crew member, etc. while autoloaders were kept at safe / standard reloads, hence why the Type 10s never got its 3-3.5s reload as seen in a few videos.
But now honestly I’m not too sure about autoloader reload rates, as its quite hard to come across a 12 RPM / 5s reload for the XC-8 and CT-CV 105HP turrets and its almost always stated as 6-8 RPM (max. 7.5s) for safe operating standards and brochures.

thing is for the longest time it was also at 5 second reload, it was switched to a 4 second reload when the tanks were underperforming
gaijin is really odd about what they give what reload, the Challenger 3TD has lost pretty much everything that made it good on release yet still has the leopard reload
or things like the Ariette having the same reload as the leopards for the longest time, the only one at top tier I really dont understand is the Abrams as it always seemed to be pretty decent and was defiantly made the best tank with a 5 second reload
