They allegedly “were unaware” that the Magic II had IRCCM capabilities until they had gathered enough evidence that coincided with the release of the AIM-9M and R-73. It was supposedly not an intentional nerf, so this cannot be said.
fair enough, if that’s their official stance, but what about the Stinger seeker having shit range and worse flare rejection than it should?
And it still doesn’t change the fact that missiles like the AIM-9X, ASRAAM, and IRIS-T are never going to be fit for the game if they don’t receive gimped seekers
The stinger is what it is because it is still in service and any docs of solid proof are locked behind the classified wall. I’m sure they know that it is wrong but opening up that Pandora’s box of “well we know it we just don’t have sources” is not what you want to do.
I mean that is the territory we’re heading into, they can’t push top tier much further without getting into current use classified material territory, they’re going to have to make it up at some point.
And if that is the case that they can’t accurately model the stinger because it’s classified, wouldn’t that also apply to all those missiles I mentioned, they basically have free reign to make them as good or as bad as they want
It’s a whole lot of “what if this” and “what if that”. Gaijin will do what Gaijin will do, that’s the end of the story.
I thought it was because they rejected other evidence (inc primary srcs) on the basis of the iglas performance
Like I don’t think any more information would help remedy this
AAM 2 is a falcon upgrade isnt it?
True, but this is Rumor Round-Up and with the J-11B being leaked there is credible rumor for at least 1 new missile, as the J-11B should only be able to use PL-8 and that doesn’t have IRCCM
So, with the PL-8B being rumor enough, it feels fitting to talk about other IR missiles
Sadly this is not the case, as we explained at the time that the Indian SPAAs added were not instead of something else domestic. We also directly confirmed domestic platforms were on the way.
I would also add that it was British mains themselves that asked for those Indian platforms like the Osa. Had it not been for those requests / feedback, the Osa would not have come then.
Domestic vehicles are being added all the time. However if a vehicle was used by multiple trees, we try to add it to all of them where it can be done. Otherwise, using the M44 as an example, if we only added it to one or two nations, every other nation that operated it would be here now asking why it is they also didn’t get theirs.
The Osa and Strella have not delayed any domestic options. We have been very clear about that. If both of them were removed tomorrow or not added when they were, something else would not magically have taken their place. Plans for domestic vehicles have not changed and were not changed because of them.
Oh Holy @Smin1080p_WT of the forum, can you gave us an answer if we can exspect version 2.43.0.41 coming this week? It has some HMD fixes for the EF which are heavely needed
insert Copium
The team will mostly be returning from holidays soon. So the updates will slowly begin to flow again :)
Insert SOON
No ETA currently. As everyone will be coming back from holidays.
yeah, saw that just after I posted, kinda answered my question before I even asked it xD
Arent they also taking off for the Orthodox Christmas? Or just a part of the Devs?
Would be Su-30MKI presented in same update as Su-30SM?
Given the answer @Smin1080p_WT just gave it would seem likely, the SM was based off the MKI so unless there are any major differences that would be development issues
that should apply.
That being said it is a subtree, and the SU-30SM will be a top tier vehicle, and Britain just got the Eurofighter, so it’s possible it gets the German MiG-29 treatment, but I would hope it’s added into the Tornado F.3 line where it would fit quite nicely.
A subtree being present does not mean every possible vehicle that nation fielded may come to to game. India is a sub tree of Britain, but as you can see there was no Indian Rafale last update because the Eurofighter exists. So its not the same case as the M44 here and not the same comparison being drawn.
Just to manage your expectations and not take the answer out of context.
