Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Tfw when the best Python slinging Falcon ain’t in the Israeli tree

Forgot it does have python 5, but at least it means the I will probably be at a lower BR

Ah, yeah probably. The thing is that for every variant of a US plane, the US usually has a similar variant.

Depends on the role. Air to ship and air to air sure, though the F-16D+ comes close for air by having an AESA radar as well, alongside HMD and 6 BVRAAM capability, both things the F-2 lacks. But for CAS and SEAD they will be the superior aircraft compared to the F-2.

So I’d say these are less redundant, and more just different aircraft.

So in terms of stats the F-2 will just feel like a slightly upgraded AJ ?

It’ll have slightly better dogfight performance iirc and pretty big upgrades in all other areas

You might want to take a look at my Subtree Rework suggestion. It’s a system where a subtree can properly repesent a nation without interfering with another nations tree

Fair enough. US can get it’s upgraded F-16C BLK 50, has same an apg 83 and other upgrades, but with an even better EW suite (AN/ALQ-257 IVEWS)

It’s all a long ways away though tbh

Why hasn’t this been approved yet

with how broken this update has been it would probs have been better just to merge the Christmas update with firebird. I mean the Scimitar is quite literally half finished and inaccurate so i don’t think i have much hope for a while

Basically, compared to AJ:

  • Higher weapons capacity, two more underwing stations and a TGP
  • More advanced weapons, AAM-3 and AAM-4 for a maximum of 4 each (6 AAM-4 and 2 AAM-3 might be possible but is very unlikely and not done in reality)
  • Upgraded APG-1/2 (depending ob the variant) AESA radar, will probably be similar to PESA judging by Gaijin’s statement
  • Twice the countermeasures, but half of them fire to the right side only
  • Upgraded F110-IHI-129 engine (same as the F-16C in game), equals out the added weight for a T/W that’s similar to the current AJ even if drag will still be higher
  • Sigificantly more lift and pitch authority, it’ll very likely be more agile in just about every way and have a lower stall speed. It also has a 12G FCS limit compared to the F-16s 9G, so we’ll see what Gaijin does with that.
  • Still no HMD

In short, the most agile “F-16” by probably a large margin with advanced radar and weapons, but also the slowest with early A model T/W and higher drag and no HMD.

Small edit, specifically about CAS compared to the AJ

  • No more AGM-65, no other AGM either
  • Added (L)JDAM capability, 4/8 of them (late F-2s have dual racks)
  • Possibly ASM-2, but very unlikely and if added possibly limited to attacking only ships

I’m just happy I got to over 400 votes now

And the longer it isn’t approved, the more I can improve it based on feedback, which is pretty important with something that will have this much impact on the game.

I still fail to understand who choose suggestions which pass to developers, suggestion moderators or developers themselves?

The BRU-57? They would also theoretically support, though UAI certification SDB-II (and for example SPEAR 3) with revised software if mounted.

AAM-4B is the reason i want F-2 honestly. it irk me so much that i can’t shot down ground hugging helo and far flying aircraft because the optical lock deem it unlockable…
oh and the blue camo, definitely the sexiest blue i ever seen…

With the post I made earlier in here, it does seem like F-2 can use HMD as it was standard modification added with introduction of AAM-5 to take advantage of the high off-bore sight capability.

Also want to add that ASM-3 and maybe ASM-2 might be able to attack ground targets and that would significantly boost the F-2s CAS capabilities.

I was having a serious conversation with the voices in my head. They told me this is coming next update.

I’m in two minds about this.

On the one hand, I think Israel has valid, and arguably better claims to Singapore based on military connection than Japan (Various exports).

But on the other hand, I really struggle to think of any Singaporean stuff I actually want - beyond an admittedly selfish desire to keep things like Spyder / Python etc more unique to Israel.

I have looked at the Singapore / Israel concept tree’s, and honestly, just kinda looks like we’d get the Netherlands leopards copy paste treatment lol. I would rather save the line space for actual domestic stuff.

(Though saying that, Terrex and Bionix would really help the chronic lack of mobility in the tree)

That thing looks wild! wtf is it?
