All I can say as to not further feed the eternal vicious cycle as you asked is- I will be looking forward for the next major update.
But not so much for shiny new toys (that too)- rather, in hopes that many of these issues are indeed addressed and fixed as you said. Over the year 2024, there weren’t practically any regarding Top Tier MBTs (only Leclerc’s reload- didn’t forget about that! But it’s just one of dozens); so I hope 2025 is the good year!
In order to avoid more off-topic on this thread, allow me to link two threads I created precisely with the intent of discussing those matters on a more appropriate topic dedicated to them; that way, if anyone wants to continue the discussion, they may find a better place to do so here:
it’s not like you have an actual need for one right now … reminder that the main goal of those for gaijin (for now) is to fill gaps … they aint really any [significant to the point of becoming problematic] gap in the german tree
I am a “the glass most certainly exists” kind of guy.
Former no, latter yes. Regardless, however, I’m not doing anything differently other than having a set goal for score each day, so it’s not exciting or anything.
Also the Eurofighters can’t have the cockpit button lights modelled in the live server even though they were present in the Dev server because “The labels on the buttons depend on the selected operating mode. This is not implemented in the game.” https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/sNRBtIYVNwxT
Meanwhile the Rafale gets modifications from it’s export variant which the current version didn’t receive in French service. It’s hard not to see the Rafale as Gaijin’s favourite currently.
In short, can’t have pretty lights in Eurofighter cockpit but the Rafale can be the wrong version.
its sad that these vehicles are being removed…
Then we literally have NO domestic CAS planes.
We all know that these planes are going to be replaced with some C&P stuff.
I’ve also never heard a Japanese main asking for these things to be removed.
The only people who are complaining that these things should be removed are the people who have never touched the Japanese TT.
Not only that, but by removing the R2Y2’s they are removing 3 of the only 7 unique and indiginous designs for the Japanese air TT from Rank V to rank VIII.
Since Gaijin doesnt add unique domestic Japanese designs to the TT.
So from the only 7 unique and indiginous designs, 3 are being removed, leaving only 4 unique aircraft from Rank V and up.
Yeah, the side that doesnt want paper designs dont play minor nations.
So they just shout that, but then we do get paper boat designs…
Its not about paper or realistic, its about balance and unique gameplay, which Japan doesnt get from Rank V and upwards because we only get C&P. We dont even get the F-2 vipers, while we already have AESA radars on the Rafale and Eurofighter IIRC.
I think this is sad. Gaijin claims that R2Y2 is not historical, and they maintain the Japanese CAS to be as historical as possible. Ki-109, the only Japanese CAS aircraft, is not historically modeled and armed. And the remaining Japanese CAS planes are misplaced. The Ki-102 Otsu is an interceptor, not a CAS plane, and is wrong armed, the Ki-32 can also be considered a CAS plane, it is a bomber, the A6M5 Hei is also a CAS or interceptor plane, and in the game it is an ordinary fighter, the F-1 is also a support plane, not an ordinary fighter. In addition, most Japanese planes are disarmed to provide inferior ground support. Ro-3/5/7 missiles are missing for the Ki-43, Ki-44, Ki-45, Ki-61, Ki-84 and Ki-100 fighters. There are no I-go 1 ko rockets for the Ki-67 and G8N1, as well as I-go 1 Otsu rockets for the Ki-102 Otsu and Ki-67. In addition, no new CAS aircraft are added, such as: Ki-3, Ki-30, Ki-36, Ki-51, Ki-71, Ki-93 Ko, Ki-93 Otsu, A6M7, T-1, T-33A, late F-86, XT-4, F-2 and many others. There is also a lack of Japanese weapons such as GCS-1, ASM-1, ASM-2, ASM-2B, XGCS-2 and others.
