Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

My point is that japan really doesn’t struggle if played strategically, yes the HE only can be annoying but there’s ships in place so you’re not exclusively stuck with those now

wait why? i welcome the missile as it gives me hope for other IR based ASM used against tanks

Why exactly they reload that fast compared to others?

Plus it gives the Norwegian F-5 that tiny bit of uniqueness

oh for sure im not saying Japan is worst off its not just that it could use some little help at lower BRs

Not if it gets removed lol, considering the German mains are on it it probably will. Unfortunately i agree, if it couldn’t do it then it shouldn’t have it.

That help is already there tbh, harukaze and murasame are adequate to handle that, and kako is enough to get through rank 3

They had assisted loading mechanisms that gave them that rate of fire, its partly what made the US 5 inch such a good dual purpose gun

it’s different, GCS-1 is not IIR seeker, more close to ir missile’s non-imaging seeker, not suit for ground target and it’s way of using also not suit for the game
the similar one is ASM-2, which should come with F-2
though it also has some problem with ASM-2, it’s normal way of using is LOAL, the missile fly by IOG then the seeker lock the target by it self.

Yeah, it shouldn’t have capabilities that it didn’t IRL however they may as well keep it in the game even without A2G capability, like the AS.34 it does nothing, but it does nothing in a fun way

Anyways the missile wasn’t why I pinged you, it was because a US jet under the Norwegian flag got added to Sweden, it’s more proof of a united Scandinavia under Sweden

F-2 has sniper pod which can be used to most likely slave the seeker. plus the ASM-2B is GPS guided that can be added too.
EJ Kai can probably use it but most likely would have to get closer for better targeting.

so this is more in line with a test to see how these will function, somewhat akin to the event Tornado

With the current state of the game why would they come ???

A lot of work needs doing before they get introduced, theres still some planes that where on the original roadmaps still not come and that was 12 years ago lol

What is the logic behind the decision to (now for a 2nd time) introduce ASM’s into event vehicles that will just simply be inaccessible for most players who don’t wanna spend money or sell their soul for 2 weeks? I mean, can we finally get some tech tree ASM’s?

@Fireraid233
Told you! XD
Gaijin is so predictable when it comes to Japan!

These weapons are generally much more niche in their role and use. Generally event vehicles allow us to explore variants of vehicles that offer something unique, without taking away a vehicle that could have otherwise been in the tree. Both this F-5 and the Tornado MFG follow that same idea.
