Whilst we don’t rule out further ASMs and similar weaponary in the future, for now its just Penguin coming for the Norwegian F-5A.
Officially, the G4M1 from the game is a 1943 configuration. This means that G4M1 1941, G4M1 1944, G4M2 model 22, G4M2 model 22 Ko, G4M2 model 22 Otsu, G4M2a model 24, G4M2a model 24 Ko, G4M2a model 24 Otsu, G4M2a model 24 Hei, G4M2e model 24 Tei are missing, G4M3 model 34, G4M3 model 34 Ko, G4M3 model 34 Otsu
so this is more in line with a test to see how these will function, somewhat akin to the event Tornado
With the current state of the game why would they come ???
A lot of work needs doing before they get introduced, theres still some planes that where on the original roadmaps still not come and that was 12 years ago lol
What is the logic behind the decision to (now for a 2nd time) introduce ASM’s into event vehicles that will just simply be inaccessible for most players who don’t wanna spend money or sell their soul for 2 weeks? I mean, can we finally get some tech tree ASM’s?
These weapons are generally much more niche in their role and use. Generally event vehicles allow us to explore variants of vehicles that offer something unique, without taking away a vehicle that could have otherwise been in the tree. Both this F-5 and the Tornado MFG follow that same idea.
Starfighter MFG when?
I wonder how many more years of ASM testing Gaijin needs to finally add them to the tech tree
The Marineflieger was added in December of 2022 btw
If they actually wanted to test them, they would add naval targets to ARB, but what do I know, I’m not a developer after all…
Yeah…
@Smin1080p_WT
Howcome Germany, Russia, France and Great britain get domestically build weaponry, but when it comes to Japan they dont?
The AAM-3 and 4 are also not accurate yet.
If we are seeing more ASMs,.can we expect Sea Eagles soon?
But in this case you are directly taking away an F5A which is equipped with an unique weapon from the swedish tech tree? I get the entire “event vehicles need to be unique” gig, but you are sort of contradicting yourself here. It’s a similar case with the tornado MFG, while you aren’t taking the plane itself away, you are taking away the unique weaponry it gets from the tech tree, which automatically makes it inaccessible for most players. Weaponry that can also be useful when playing sim, i myself have been waiting on RB15’s for the longest time to be added to the AJ viggens specifically for anti ship operations in sim, yet all we’re getting are event planes.
Japan has domestic wepaonary. You just listed a couple above.
It would be a lot less niche if we got more missile boats :)
Or even if air rb maps included ai naval targets.
they arent taking anythign away, norwegian isnt an official sub tree of sweden in the first place
they are meaned purely for event/premium stuff currently
Yep, they aren’t niche for anyone who plays SIM…would be simple to add them to RB
Ofcourse they have, but why are they not ingame?
The guided torpedoes are still not on the coastal boats while having the pods modeled on them, the guided bombs are still not in game, the San-Shiki dan shells are still not ingame, Japanese guided weaponry in general are still not in game?
So which domestic weaponry do they have then? Besides the inaccurate AAM-3 and AAM-4?
Sadly no matter what is chosen, someone may see this as “taking away from the tree” in some way.
If it’s a fully unique vehicle, a different group are unhappy with this. We do however have to have something interesting and worthwhile for people to wasn’t to obtain.
This is not a Swedish aircraft and does not remove any famous or historically significant option from the tree. It’s not the only option for ASMs for the Swedish tree in general should they ever be expanded upon either.
Your question was why can’t Japan have domestic wepaonary, when they already do and we have not said more will not come.
I would recommend you take a step back and cool off a tad.
Show me any guided torpedo currently in game at all, please
