@Smin1080p_WT So why are the Penguins getting anti-tank capability when even Kongsberg doesn’t say it’s possible? And Japan had the GCS-1 denied for that exact reason? Just some cheeky favouritism for Sweden?

Checked with a familiymember that was in the navy on a MTB for a few years about the Pengvin missile being able to be used as a ATGM, he said no.
Same with my dad that was a mechanic on F-5s before the F-16s, he had never heard of it either.
So i think Gaijin is taking a few liberties here.
All documentations i have seen just says its a anti-ship missile

GCS-1 aside, this should now open the door for the ASM-2 which also uses an IR seeker which would be a huge boost for Japan in general.
But in a more serious note, this is pretty messed up, the whole double standard gets really annoying, especially when a playerbase has been fighting for something to be added and have it denied for a specific reason just for them to add something for a different nation that falls under that same reason…

I predict F-5A(G) late production integration AIM-9L & AGM-119A Kongsberg Penguin Anti-Ship Missile
But the early production rear-aspect WVR Air-to-Air Missile (AIM-9E & AIM-9N) and pre AGM-119A Anti-Ship Missile
So F-5A(G) Early it might regular tech tree for sweden
This is the perfect event vehicle, unique but not so unique that if you miss out it’s a big deal. Honestly this is not C+P, that’d be like saying the F-15E is copy paste of the F-15A.

This is a perfect event vehicle because it’s actually useful in the gamemode you have to play in order to get it. I was getting sick of CAS planes that are useless in ARB.
