It’s boring when a ship has terrible modernization, and those that are in the game mostly have early years of modernization. And we need not only early ones but also late ones, where there will be radars and enhanced air defense and other gadgets

They are needed.
The current lineups and ships for Japan or borderline bad Especially the 4.7-5.0 area, where you have no armour, 8 torpedoes and long reloads, while facing Russian and American autofiring cannons with SAP rounds, which also pen more then yours.
Thing is as well japan has the entire build run of some of their classes, and most of the others in terms of cruisers and battleships (looks at the 3 mogamis, both furutakas, 2 myokos, 3 kongos and so on) so i really dont get where you get the idea of them being the “worst” from when there really isnt much to pull from to begin with, not to mention the vast majority of those are in either mid or late war configuration
Man, the Australia and Canada sure look lovely.
With this new ASM being IR homing and being allowed to target tanks will other nations such as Japan with its ASM-2 (original ASM-2 is IR tracking) be allowed to be added and used against tanks?
Similarly will GCS-1 which is IR (and already in the files and has 3d models!) also be added these domestic options would be nice CAS for existing Japanese aircraft.

Show me literally any destroyer that actually has a decent amount of armor protection, the 4.7 destroyers were built for anti aircraft fleet defender so their guns naturally will not be too effective vs ships and the torpedoes are literally amongst the top dogs in the entire game
Having played the Agano, Furutaka and Aoba… They really arent fun to play.
Long reloads, almost no armour, inaccurate guns a very slow gun traverse as well…
While facing SAP and APHE American and Russian autocannons.
American reloads are 10 seconds stock. The Japanese reloads are 20 seconds stock.
Thats twice the firerate with a faster turret traverse and better armour…
Playing Japan naval is not fun at all. More decompression is needed, and better modifications are needed. Thus including sister ships as well.
Can’t help that one nation was able to produce guns with a faster fire rate

Its Japan, so its probably: “in the makings, but not done yet”, “No, we dont have such plans”, or “Japan didnt use them against ground targets, so we dont implement it”.

AIM-9L/I is AIM-9L but with IRCCM

But then give Japan some ships that did have better capabilities.

So bringing them would only lead to more of the “issues” you say are there, and would just be one big circle
Yeah…which sucks because GCS-1 was denied years ago BECUASE of its IR capabilities. ASM-2 i can some what understand why it hasn’t been added yet and its not because of the IR imaging but because of its performance but with this new U.S ASM being added i hope they look into these weapons for Japan more as it would add FnF CAS to basically all domestic Japanese jets from F-1 to F-15J.

Yes more FnF Cas is needed as well as balance to this mechanic along with more advanced AAA like the Pantsir platform as well as better and more modern Naval and also include Submarines while your at it…
So yeah alot of work to do Gaijin and on top of that, rework and balance / fixes for whats already in the game, that includes bugs that have been reported a century ago and are still pending =)
So the “solution” is using American guns which most of those are armed with looking at my research
Reminder that the Hungarian subtree was added in September of 2023, and we still haven’t gotten a singular non-copy paste Hungarian vehicle. I’m not even gonna mention that the Pzh2000 is a premium
Hungarian aviation was added almost a year ago and we STILL don’t have the low tier planes, but don’t worry guys, it’s definitely coming soon!!! (Maybe in 5(?) years)

What’s wrong with that look at the Murasame, harukaze, and yugure those guns help with the IJN DD issue which is slow turret traverse, slow reloads and underperforming HE damage. there are many post war dds for Japan they can add even with out the missiles that can help.
