Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Exactly like why is there no attempt at a takedown of the EFT manual

The DA7 is the last of the pre-IPA series prototype and it was indeed built by Italy. Regardless of the fact that it was leaked by DCS players and once on WT circa 2023, it is restricted considering gaijin cannot know who read the files.

Greek subtree makes little sense for UK.

Greek subtree makes little sense for any single country, considering that Greece has been using vehicles primarily from US, France, and Germany since WWII, and UK vehicles up to WWII and for the early 50s. You can add a few Italian vehicles and a few Soviet ones in there as well, just to make it more confusing.

If we’re going to use “political” criteria of which country in game Greece would make sense being part of, then realistically only the US fits the bill (especially since this game is now a Cold War / contemporary warfare game), while a case could be made for France.

Not much else makes sense.

Those were just goofy suggestions to the one that was also making goofy suggestions. I wasn’t being serious

Gaijin when they see a bug report right after they have a plane, missile, ground vehicle, right at a certain BR/capability that they want, and nothing less or more.

Which report is this comment in particular a reply to?

Well tornado FM got similar comments

The Kurnass radar report for missing GMTI mode. A source was used by a now technical moderator (he wasn’t a TM back then), showing how the radar had GMTI modes. But devs said there would be no further improvements or fixes for the radar after they did a bunch of fixes for it. Said it was “enough” basically.

May I ask how good is the Pakistan T-80 ?

This is removing a lot of context and not what I explained to you sadly just the other day. The response was regarding no possible further improvements due to this report, due to a lack of clear information on the tests and modes.

This report was part of an overall package, the vast majority of which were fixed. Only those that had source conflicts or a lack of clear evidence could not be.

Indeed the Tornado did, as in this context, its FM has reached the limits of whats possible regarding accurate representation of slat deployment and turn capabilities within the framework of the game. Due to how FMs are modelled, its reached the very limit of what’s possible to replicate and is as close as can be to its performance.

Hello there! I know it’s not the first time I ask about it, but… would you know if we have got any news in regards to this? It’s been so, so, so, so, so long… and it’s just very disencouraging to see such old reports “accepted” but not acted upon, when it comes to bug reporting. @_N4MELESS , in this ocassion, spent such a long time making that bug report, even with videos to more clearly show the issue. And it’s been years already…

Any news would typically be updated directly into the report when a fix is due.

None of what you said has anything to do with ground moving target indicator. Your responses would make sense for the other reports which have to do with air to air modes. Dev response of RCS of aerial targets cannot be related to the air to ground mode.

Well, you see, that’s exactly the issue.

The last news we got is an “Accepted”… 2 years ago (on this platform; the report is actually more than 3 years old, it was made previously on the Old Forums).

How can such a big report be left “accepted” for many years, with no actual action on it?

At this point I feel like I won’t live to see a fix to it.

That bug has been burdening Type 10 ever since it was shown on the Dev Server of the Update 2.13 “Winged Lions”, back in 2021. It’s 2025 and the bug still hasn’t been fixed… in fact, two more Type 10 variants have been added… burdened with the same bug.

This is why we end up feeling discouraged to make bug reports. Seeing some still “accepted” after 2 years.

@Smin1080p_WT Do you know if any of the reports compiled here are being looked at?

I compiled this list of all the HUD, HMD, VR and cockpit issues that are still broken. With help from other members on the forum and honestly it’s quite shocking how many bugs revolving around the Sim experience go unfixed for years at a time.

On the 3rd of Jan technical mod @tronexer said that they would look into some but it’s been radio silence since then and to my knowledge none of these reports has been updated.

Obviously the list is extensive so naturally would take a while to fix everything but some of these reports were made years ago and aren’t fixed with some saying they have been fixed when in reality they aren’t.

The responses were regarding the package of issues reported. All were responded too as they were all linked to the same internal reports for the AN/APG-76 and relevant to all issues that were closed off (not fixed)

GMTI modes are not present on many AN/AGP and other radars already in game. This has been separately explained on several occasions and does not apply to just the AN/APG-76 or this report.

Sadly there will always be some older reports and we will always do what we can to bring those to the developers attention.

But that does not mean that huge amounts of bug reports are being fixed on a weekly basis or in huge quantities during major updates. Reporting an issue correctly via reports is always the best way to go.

That’s fair but I was talking solely about the missing air to ground mode.

The other radars in-game have reports for gmti modes which are accepted just not actioned. The kurnass radar is different in that it is explicitly stated, “No further improvements will be done” and the report was labeled as “Not a bug”. No indication is given that the modes will come later or any such thing.

I don’t play Israel, but the response to the report is such a weird unusual response.
