I played Pantsir every night for 2 weeks straight in SQB last season. I would legit target something like an F-16C 12km away, either kill him or get him down to the deck (stupid mountains blocking my LOS) and still have time to take down all 5 mavericks he launched before they hit my friendly tanks.
I agree with this. It’s no pantsir, but it should at least be able to hang with the ItOs, which is already a massive improvement.
I’m curious about the ZA-HVM missile speed and G pull.
Most other “red” additions get accepted fairly quickly, the Pantsir and KH-38s are still seen as problematic even though both have been part of the game for a while now (the Pantsir has been in the game for more than 20 months now and it still is uncontested as the overall best top tier SPAA)
You’re more than welcome to get into a Pantsir and attempt to frag me in my CAS.
Or you can trust my word that out of the over 12 skilled SPAA players that have tried before you, none of them scored a frag on me [and all I do is basic CAS tactics that the YouTuber Hunter also uses though he’ll be more reckless than I at times], and each of them lost their Pantsir multiple times. Usually after 2 they quit, one lasted over 10 deaths before quitting.
In a match on European Province, I flew over the battlefield in my F-16A ADF doing anti-CAS. Out of the over 20 missiles launched onto me from Pantsirs, zero hit. I was within 4km at low altitude, and out to 14km as well.
The Pantsir is not a wonder weapon, it has the same limitations as a pre-buffed ITO-90M just with a longer anti-helicopter and anti-drone range.
I didnt say there is a russian bias. I was talking about your take that the Ito90 is better than the Pantsir
I do eat pantsirs for breakfast, they are easy to counter and slow af. But it doesnt stop it being better than the ITO90
You keep yapping that we are crying about a red bias, while we are talking about specific vehicles (su-34)
Isnt it hypocritical when you talk about the stuff you have never tried to use, is it?
The community widely criticizes and hyper-focuses on the poor balance of certain vehicles since the beginning of the game.
CL-13, T-2, F-14A, 2A5, 2A6, 122, 2A7, F-15E etc etc.
It’s just extremely rare, that we get something so objectively, astronomically superior to all it’s peers like Pantsir is, and for that divide between the ‘has’ and ‘has nots’, last as long as it has without nerfs being given, or counterparts being added, as Pantsir has enjoyed.
Pantsir was nerfed before it was even added, and it has counterparts: CAS it cannot physically frag.
T-2 also wasn’t OP, just misunderstood.
Same with F-14A, 2A5, and CL-13.
Pantsir is superior to no CAS, which is the only way to compare SPAA.
If you’re comparing SPAA to other SPAA you’re doing it wrong, they’re not designed to frag each-other nor are their BRs designed around tanks or themselves, but around the aircraft they face.
But even then the Pantsir has more to offer than any other SPAA. Not a single one of the current top tier SPAA can reliably deal with Su-34s, F-15Es, etc if they just climb and deliver missiles/bombs, the Pantsir however is able to deal with all kinds of A2G weapons while the other nations SPAAs can only deal with a limited amount of A2G weapons.
compare the Pantsir to other SAMs not CAS. The advantage that CAS has at all brs even over SPAAs (forgetting regular tanks) is a completely different issue.
