My personal understanding about early Japan sub TT announce and Chinese sun TT leak:
Japan sub still come earlier if the Chinese sub is real, it should already be making.
if that Chinese sub TT is real, still, don’t mean ASEAN all goes to China. or if not real, all goes to Japan.
for what being discussed here, most of the listed sub candidates, are just Chinese vehicle users, getting Chinese produced vehicles in China TT isn’t a sub, it just normal additions (sorry German). the only choice that fit the definition of a sub is North Korea, but it will mean a separated Korea.
for same reason, existing Pakistan or Bangladesh vehicles also not mean Pakistan or Bangladesh sub, the non-Chinese vehicles possibly won’t go China.
And I think there are great misunderstanding about Chinese player community in forum and Gaijin.
Chinese player more focus on domestic vehicles, they don’t want Singapore too, it’s strange to have leopards or A4 in TT, they are more interested in fixing the existing vehicles and add more domestic things. and for similar patriotism reason, they don’t like the idea of VT-4 to Japan.
They are more interested in a North Korea sub, and the exported vehicles, not “wanting the whole ASEAN”.
there are still some players, don’t care about how to make a good TT, just want to “make a super TT containing every good thing”, this “Super TT” doesn’t always mean TT, can also be German or SW or others. Consider the large number of Chinese players, even a really small part think like this, is a big number, they can make big voice sometimes but still minority.
Adding non related sub like Singapore, won’t make much more money from Chinese players, fix the domestic and more domestic vehicles will. Chinese players play Chinese TT because it’s Chinese TT, and most of them think Chinese TT is still not treated fairly because many acknowledged issue not applied and many but get “not a bug” for no reason
From what I see, the leak said Singapore, and potentially ASEAN. The ASEAN part is not 100% confirmed… But then again, since they add Singapore, which is part of ASEAN, it gives Gaijin precedent to add other ASEAN countries down the line.
There still isn’t justification for just Singapore to be in Chinese tech tree, but it will at the very least be better than what is pretty much all of SEA. But that’s just me giving Gaijin the benefit of the doubt.
I think it’s more like a balance problem, Gaijin need it at that position in TT/BR so they don’t want to change it.
But still, their lazy in adding more Western SPAA is unacceptable.
yes, Pantsir, ruined everything about CAS, even USSR TT suffer from its influence, the entire top CAS balance is a CHAOS, all started from adding Pantsir.
The range is fake, it’s limited by its seeker lock range. it’s good because it’s fast.
if no pantsir, all top CAS with IR F&F can easily wipe the ground outside SPAA’s max range.
if everyone gets pantsir, sm3 would be a shit, because it’s too slow.
Pantsir change everything
the result of balance is coming. I’ve seen some 11.7 battles, few F-111F and AV-8B NA wiped out the entire ground, and FlaRakRad struggling to reach them. they didn’t perform well because the Pantsir, but now the cage is open
even better sense, USA, China, Russia, France, and Germany get no sub-tech tree as they already have more than enough vehicles to fill 6 lines packed.
Switzerland gets its own tech tree as it has over 250 vehicles to offer, Germany can get the F/A18B, F-15, and F-20 as they tested it in the 80s, and they will get 5 variants of the Typhoon as well as the F-35 so i do not see why they need Switzerland at all…
Poland gets in the head of a tech with other Visegrad nations,
Japan gets Thailand as a sub-tree which gives it a bunch of F-16, F-5, and Grippen, as well as a bunch of tanks for the late ranks such as the M-84, M60, and VT-4 which is adding meat where Japan has little to offer, so it’s perfect (even if it’s mostly copy-paste)
South Africa gets its tech tree, UK gets a new line-up replacing the missing South African vehicles, but do not worry, they have plenty of choices on their own.
Hungary moved to Poland as a sub-tree, and Italy got some new vehicles to replace them, do not worry, they have a lot of choices,
Benelux gets his own tech tree, the few vehicles in the French tech tree are replaced by actual vehicles used by France, and they get a ton of choices…
and we stop adding sub-trees everywhere without need.
because if half of this leak is true, i will just stop playing the game at all. it kind of kills the taste you get in every nation. i would see no point in playing any nation if they are all a bit the same without restriction and that is pretty much what happens when you add 4-5 nations that have nothing in common and no real military development as sub-tree.
Honestly, I’d be fine with that if Italy could get a comparable tank to the 2A7HU as a replacement. A Romanian Sub TT would also be neat to address some of Italy’s glaring gaps. There’s also the issue of the Hungarian Tiger and Italy’s lack of a Heavy Tank though I suppose it would be easy enough to just reskin the Hungarian Tiger
The Leopard 2 spam is unavoidable, to be fair, as it is one of the most popular export tanks. After all why waste millions to develop your own tank when you can buy one off the shelf
