New record in number of automated farming bots in a match

Gaijin decided to delete my previuous thread because I was telling the truth, hence I have to open a new.

I am a premium account player and I never used any cheat: I think that I deserve to speak the truth… Or not?!

In the game of which I will post the ending statistics’ screeshot there were 20 automated farming bots: I wonder how many cheaters there are in other modes without markers (simulator and ground RB, maybe?)

Is this what we deserve? I think not.

Note: the thread will be reposted if will be deleted again. I think that we left “Gestapo” and “KGB” style in the past, right?

Imho you address an important topic, but with such remarks you play with fire.

As a sidenote: If you look at countries like the UK you will notice that posting certain opinions will put you in jail - so it looks like that old trends see a revival…

So, there are “already multiple other threads” about this. Some are old and still up. I fully understand your frustration and support your efforts. I only want to offer some suggestions.

First, this is one older thread I found about the bad bots in Naval:

Naval has a serious bot account problem!

Currently when joining any Naval Realistic game, the matches fill almost entirely with bot accounts (no not the usual AI that WT adds to make up for a lack of players, with names such as “John Doe”) I’m talking about accounts with generated user names like “w4ths3mz” and many variations like that. They’re always in a German Leopard, they streak across the map and just farm each other basically. This means the big boats spawns are completely full of non WT AI bots and when trying to grind the tin…

Especially a ton from @Bruce_R1 I would very much recommend reading this entire thread, especially the conversations Bruce had. I would highly suggest copy+pasting your reply to that thread as well. LOTS of players will see your input there:

Naval mode is finally dead

Naval mode was bad before, and with every patch, they somehow make it even worse. Now the aiming sights make no sense—you can’t even tell where the guns are pointing while the turret rotates. You aim your shot, and it lands completely off, anywhere but where you aimed. It used to be better; you could calculate your shots and strategize where to damage the enemy ship.

Now, before everyone dog piles on with “well it’s a new issue it deserves a new thread!” I do not disagree with you. But for Naval with the community being so much smaller than the other game modes, I highly recommend posting to the largest/most visible threads that we have.

That thread is minuscule, super tiny 🤏 With Naval already being a smaller community, every effort should be made to involve as many naval players as possible. And this thread is by far the largest and most active naval thread there is. And it is specifically about ALL issues that are negatively affecting Naval Battles.

Making more threads for each naval issue only fragments the community further, and 90% of the other naval players will never see all the various naval threads.

If each of these new naval threads had hundreds of replies it would be fine. But each new naval thread barely breaks 10 replies. Waste of time, and counter productive.

Even this “large” thread barely has over 200 users:

I mostly agree with about naval. I reported that match with the official channel of the saved network replay. I hope that it will sort something out. I am reporting bots since months, hence the hopes are quite low.

I used to like naval a lot years ago but “realistic” mode’s population it’s now scarce at it best. It fares better in arcade mode where there are a lot more players: probably it’s why farming bots are more common in realistic.

Personally I do what ever I can to solve swiftly the daily or special task and that’s why I was playing it today. It’s also a quick way to earn some silver lions.

As I stated before, I wonder how many cheaters we found in other modes. For myself, I judge my deaths in ground RB as a result of a personal skill issue but, as many of us, in ground RB I witnessed a lot of “strange” shots to ground or air units or “wonder knowledge” of others’ positioning.

It’s also true than Gaijin is reducing the size of maps to a postcard style, so it’s not that hard to imagine where players are :).

We’ll see.

The bots play RB more than AB because the RP rewards per game for them are better, and they have fewer planes and torps to deal with (real players, as you say).

Naval RB 2.7-4.7 is basically a PvE Assault mode now and is best to be considered that way. There is no way to fix it that does not also deny starter destroyers to first-time human players who for whatever reason started in naval instead of air or ground. They’re generally caught by automated processes, so player reporting of them isn’t particularly relevant, I would save your time and use the mode for what it’s good for (SL and dailies) and then leave.

And while I generally agree with Tracker, moving a navalbot discussion to a different naval thread, especially one which involves criticizing mod decisions, only increases the likelihood that thread is closed and disappeared soon too, so I wouldn’t sweat it. Get it out of your system and move on :)

PS: If the option is open to you, change your server to EU only when playing NRB 2.7-4.7. It’s definitely better, they tend to focus on NA.

its a common trait for chinese players to just keyboard smash a latin script keyboard for a name on an account.

if you dont expect to have the account for long (smurf account for hacking or to sell) makes sense to not bother with a real username

Part of the script is probably to generate a random alphanumeric user name. They are a bit more sophisticated than monkey banging on keyboard.
