Naval mode is finally dead

Correct me if im wrong but arent most DDGs and whatnot not actually able to currently penetrate Battleship Armor as they are designed to defeat other targets of its type? Yes sure they would probably be able to develop Missiles capable of defeating Battleships but i dont think most of them have such Weapons on Board.

Harpoon has a SAP-HE warhead and a top attack terminal attack profile (it comes in low to the water, then right before impact it climbs up and dives down to hit the deck), that should be capable of dealing damage to most battleships. The big question is the warhead fuse delay. If it’s too short then the missile will do nothing to battleships.

This assumes that Gaijin also makes the missile’s ARH seeker good enough to reliably hit center mass of an enemy ship.

Why not put it into the thread I linked, which was dealing precisely with the topic the OP addressed?

That thread is minuscule, super tiny 🤏 With Naval already being a smaller community, every effort should be made to involve as many naval players as possible. And this thread is by far the largest and most active naval thread there is. And it is specifically about ALL issues that are negatively affecting Naval Battles.

Making more threads for each naval issue only fragments the community further, and 90% of the other naval players will never see all the various naval threads.

If each of these new naval threads had hundreds of replies it would be fine. But each new naval thread barely breaks 10 replies. Waste of time, and counter productive.

Even this “large” thread barely has over 200 users:

The thread you linked to has barely over 10 users. Total waste of time. You are better off talking to a brick wall. No one will ever see it, and the Devs will 100% never see it:

Ngl, I’m a little bit sad

In 1500 hours I never touched naval. I tried playing naval yesterday, there were 3 players looking for a game 😭

So, what really helps getting into Naval Battles is to turn on “Join already active battles”. Normally for Ground and Air it is not necessary, and can sometimes negatively affect your match results. HOWEVER, with Naval it is almost inconsequential to join late. I actually prefer to join late so that you don’t get in the pileup at spawn, and/or get focused fired by being the first one to spawn in.

Furthermore, last year or so they greatly increased the time limit that you are able to join an ongoing Naval Battle. So, by turning this option on when you are trying to play Naval, you will very often get into a match in only a minute or two. Sometimes instantly. I would very highly suggest trying it for yourself:

However, it seems the TS isn’t really interested anymore anyway.

I hear you, I understand. The other alternative is to always post a link to these small threads here in the “big” thread to inform as many Naval players as possible to get involved in the latest and important conversations for Naval 👍

it’s our containment zone so word about how just busted naval is doesn’t seep into places a new gaijin mark might see

Getting reports that the change does not fully fix the Yamato’s quick death issues, sadly. Will have to see as more reports come in.

This kind of stuff is why coastal 2.7+ coastal is dead and an absolute mess, not my first time seeing people with exorbitant amount of kills in early destroyers but this one beats all the records I’ve seen.

2.3 German coastal is an awful experience when I play. The R-130 and S-100 are awful and are so much worse than almost everything else at that BR

If only they would combine the bluewater and coastal fleet then it could be a tad more fun

its like we had a section for light / heavy / Anti tank / anti

and you could only grind each time of tank with that type of tank
