Naval has a serious bot account problem!

Currently when joining any Naval Realistic game, the matches fill almost entirely with bot accounts (no not the usual AI that WT adds to make up for a lack of players, with names such as “John Doe”) I’m talking about accounts with generated user names like “w4ths3mz” and many variations like that. They’re always in a German Leopard, they streak across the map and just farm each other basically. This means the big boats spawns are completely full of non WT AI bots and when trying to grind the tiny boats, there’s nothing to shoot at.

Please look into this Gaijin, it is out of control.

Close enough, welcome back TF2

I never played that, was that game bugged with the same issue?

There were bot farms only to grind items to sell later.
Very reminiscent of the account selling issue…

I don’t get it, why would anyone do that for 100WB?

Some of them really are bots, and even if you report them, it rarely works, because in naval mode it’s harder to tell what’s a moving bot and what isn’t, especially in Arcade Battles.

There’s also the issue that once they reach top tier, it’s easier to track them, but by the time they actually get banned, you’ve already taken a one-hit kill to your ship’s ammo, hit by one of them from 16 km away in Realistic or Arcade Battles.

On the other hand, I strongly support allowing a player to have up to three accounts at most whether it’s to get a vehicle that’s only available via referral links or to grind three vehicles per event just to take advantage of mid-year or end-of-year promotions.

The problem is that even though we’ve seen accounts being banned throughout this year, it doesn’t seem to have fixed much. If you ban one account, half a second later 10 more are created. And before those 10 get banned, another 1,000 have already been made. There is a way to counter this kind of automated account creation…

But guess what? It’s very invasive, and most players would never agree to the company’s terms. So we just accept and understand that wherever there’s an online money system to exploit, there will always be some vodka drinkers and bug eaters farming as much as possible.

Gaijin already has taken all of my holidays with their event, they can have the rest too. Idm if it means no more bots.

Not seen any (obvious) bot waves in Arcade, which is a real surprise as its where they usually hang out. Maybe they don’t like the aiming changes that meant they could be pulverised the moment they were identified.

I don’t believe its as easy to combat as some think. Useless banning individual accounts as they will simply bang out another automatically to replace it., plus witjout investigating yiu cannwasuky ban real players, especially noobies which naval really relies on. Act too early and you may only get one variant which the botters can then bypass. Too late however and its weeks of real players suffering.

They’re still there at 3.7 tons of them all in Leopards for whatever reason, I was wondering if someone was trying to use them to do some of the seasonal challenges but I can’t see why they would leave them on this long. It shouldn’t be too hard to remove them, just look for accounts that only have Leopard game time + the #xxxxx#xxx type names + Account ID newer than 217800000. But there are literally thousands of them now I think.

Yep, that’s what I’m thinking too. They all have the same pattern. Would be easy to have an AI swipe those accounts. It’s impossible to grind tiny boats at the moment, at least, at the speed I’m used to. Unless I find a match that’s full of players, but then it’s also likely plagued by the new AK225 and when grinding 3.7, encountering those… again, makes it impossible to grind my tiny boats.
