Im not getting into this debate because I think you could have a dozen shots and the answer for when or if DL or IOG was enabled or not could be debated.
Ultimately, I just consider it largely black magic and I just aim to fire under good conditions and maintain track on the target if possible, worse case scenario it doesnt do anything.
That having been said, I want to say there was something added relatively recently with regard to “look-Down” shots and the DL+IOG playing a larger part as the missile not having PD can loose the taret in the ground clutter and so will rely more heavily on the DL.
I just find it a waste of time arguing with people who don’t own more than 6 or even 1 rank 8 planes, trying to explain to me, who plays top tier tournaments on a daily basis at a competitive level and has thoroughly studied how to play, how rank 8 planes and missiles works.
And this goes @noamax@warthogboy09@Zannafrancy12 and you @Normandy_Corsair
I have every top tier airframe except a Gripen and the J-10… And those are by choice more than anything. Just cause I’m not an RB-tard doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m talking about.
And? Getting to play in a match with guaranteed less targets available targets means you can comfortably run your radar in a dramatically different way than in a random battle.
The fact that other missiles are underperforming because AIM 120 users begged for it? AAMs for Japan are heavily nerfed, PL-12s are heavily nerfed (in real life, they are superior to AIM 120Bs), SD-10s are heavily nerfed (short ranged PL-12s), MICAs are actually nerfed from their real life counterparts.
Every country got nerfed in relation to their “Fox 3s”, it’s not just an American thing.
