Navy battles are very annoying atm

The game is broken and no amount of twisting the explanation will provide a proper excuse for not fixing it or for coming up with excuses for devs/gaijin doing a poor job.

I actually spade all my boats. xD And play coastal only as coastal-only line ups. Have gotten pretty good at it too. :3

Yeah that’s what I did. It wasn’t without frustrations, but banning certain maps helps.

yeah, that would be interesting

Right, that’s the problem. That’s why I think naval map/game mode design is what needs to change most. Because right now, most vessels can’t play their intended roles.

Edit: I’m also in favor of reverting the 2.45 changes, to be clear

The sitting behind rocks and spamming rockets thing is more down to bad map design than the SKR’s capabilities. It’s already been nerfed by having its first stage ammo reduced significantly. As for the survivability that is bs unless you’re talking about reserve destroyers and other coastals. This is a matchmaking, map design and BR compression problem that won’t be solved by nerfing the SKRs further.

4.0 and above destroyers will eat you for lunch if they decide to focus you. It only takes a few salvos to obliterate or severely damage an SKR to the point where it eventually sinks. The SKRs are deadly at close ranges but destroyers will absolutely dominate you from medium to long range.

The second you see one, target it instantly so it doesn’t doesn’t rush and massacre your team near the coastal spawn and the cap points closest to them. Some exceptions are utterly moronic maps like North Port where they can reach and camp B rapidly while happily spamming rockets and torps at anything that comes close. In most maps they’re exposed long enough for destroyers to hammer them till they sink.

Sounds like a skrill issue to me.

A level 2 baby talking about skill issue lmao

I said skrill issue. Get the joke already.
I’ve already written walls of text all up and down each thread, even made my own, about how bad Naval is.

Ok, sit behind a rock and spam rockets as long as you want
but give me some bullets that can damage your boat
like Ive wrote plenty of times, many of the coastal boats SKR and other to op boats dont take damage

If not… then we conclude that gaijin is making these boats OP on purpose and nerf everything else to make others grind more or buy them with gold aka cash.

Its a problematic situation made up of multiple issues - if devs arent willing to solve - matchmaking, map design and br compression - the only alternative is to nerf SKR/others. If not the huge imbalance will continue.

I agree with the rest of your points. Also, do you have SKR?

If you’re talking about coastals then you see the same problem with the M-17, Le Orla, Aconit, Brantford etc. Destroyers, however, can annihilate all of these with little trouble. The damage model has been deliberately made this way in order to offset their disadvantage in mobility.

Wrong on both counts. The problem is that gaijin hasn’t given an equivalent coastal on any other tree except Germany with the Koln and Lubeck (2020 event premium) along with the others I already mentioned. That or the SKRs should’ve never been added in the first place.

Yes. I’ve been on both the giving and receiving end of the SKRs.

While I’m inclined to agree about complaints toward SKR, it is a squadron vehicle, so it kind of makes sense for it to have some capability. I have been blown up from it before, and I have had trouble killing them, but I can at least respect it.

SKR now kinda dying fast after HE kinetic added.

makes no sense
I say there is an imbalance and the boat should be nerfed till a proper solution can be found.
You say -nooo, It should ve ve been introduced-
So, its wrong that its in the game due to obvious imbalance, but dont nerf it because… reasons.

How many SKR torps do you need to sink each type of boat in the Test Sail mode? (can you unlock better torpedoes, with more damage?

Do you know that is antisubmarine selfguided torps right?

in a 1:1 situation a Köln or Lübeck can never compete vs a SKR (and please don’t argue with skill issues) - you need at least Moffets or any other destroyer with comp. firepower to kill a SKR at medium range - reserve destr. have no chance.

Yes they can. Their anti ship firepower is pretty much identical with the Koln having only slightly less survivability and mobility. You don’t need a Moffet. Any 4.0+ destroyer with SAP can kill it at range.

I already told you. Introduce equivalent coastals or remove the SKRs and Koln and Lubeck from the tech trees and give everyone who has them a full refund GE/SL/RP… That’s where the imbalance is.

It already was nerfed…The first stage ammo is significantly reduced. The guns don’t do as much damage anymore except against reserve destroyers. What more do you want? Your survivability argument is nonsense considering that the same can be said of all other coastals with 16mm hull and 4mm superstructure some of which even get a coastal spawn. This would mean completely changing the DM for all such coastals rendering them near useless against low caliber autocannons. If you or your team aren’t focusing SKRs when they’re visible and before they reach caps near coastal spawns, then that’s a bad team.

Lol are you looking to buy it now after bashing it all this time?

you started so well, yet had to drive it into a ditch…

nope, just curious how many torpedoes it takes to sink the boats in Test Sail mode.
