this wasn’t possible before the aimbot - but now you can be targetted precisley from a far larger distance as before (the now obsolete lead indicator is only visible at close distance). I see far less planes in low-BR matches as before and most of them are killed w/o making any points.
In addition GJ increased the probability for hitting bombs in-fligth by gunfire. This is a second nerf to planes as quite often a dropped bomb doesn`t hit where it otherwise did.
BTW - I still play naval AB - its not unplayable (except the bugs) but I still dislike it - as naval RB has a number of mechanics I don’t like
maybe because they are just bad? Yes, it was easier before but what, people can’t learn stuff? You never will be sniped in long range if you don’t fly straight, even with HE-VT. Don’t see any problem now. I also see people still scoring kills, nothing bothers them. Probably exactly coastal is anoying… a bit.
It’s been for a long time in Air AB atleast. Not sure about naval, maybe they just also enabled this, or due to less precise fire before update it only happened on occasions

Because it suks. …I don’t care that there are bugs. The game is BROKEN. You can’t release a BROKEN MESS, and LEAVE IT THAT WAY for WEEKS without addressing the issues of the community OR letting them make suggestions, and expect them not to be upset.
They released a BROKEN MESS of a system, that isn’t fun, or interesting, or skill based gun play. It’s an experience like NOTHING in War Thunder.
I’ll make a suggestion in Tanks Arcade for the same aiming system.
“Tanks Arcade is too hard because players are confused when they aim. Players should be able to drive their tanks full speed and fire at OTHER tanks going full speed by just pointing their crosshairs at the enemy. It’s too hard in the current ARCADE system. What the connection between statistic of how many do play and poll regarding introducing some changes? Especially such major like this. Or you are trying to say that just looking into online increase/decrease is enough? After change been implemented. But even here seems like things didn’t change too much. I was talking about using in-game poll beforehand.

go on, if you want to know in WT tanks gun way accurate than IRL, you can start with that(t-72 gun have 0.2m disperse radius by 1000m distance)
Modern tanks IRL aim like you wrote, yes, and distances and dynamics of ground battles way different it either slugish and close range as dreadnoughts in ww2 tiers, or laser precise in modern one cause of APFSDS, besides that there is fire and forget and ATGM where you literally aim by mouse pointer.
btw. in Arcade tanks you literally have autoaim button FYI.
I was successful only after relentless persistence and then contacting a moderator to sort out the bias and targeting from certain gate keepers.
The gas lighting from kweed was also next level.
Things wouldn’t be repeated and dragged out so often if their need to get the last word in wasn’t there.
Proposing suggestions to us that they knew would get denied etc.
The rest of us aren’t here just to help ourselves but to help each other.
I was only on about poll here, on forum doesn’t reflect true vision of whole playerbase at all, neither do people saying “just read comments, everybody is against”. Yes, even in-game poll won’t be trully correct but way more accurate, atleast because it would include those who enjoy new system and just play the game, not seeking for places to speak on, like here, reddit or steam. I’m not telling gaijing doing right at all. The way they communicate with its own playerbase and decisions are awful. And not only naval-related, but overall.
by the way, this button worked in naval before an update, now it does nothing. Been handy in some cases to get to the target quickly after looking around without pressing “C”. Probably should make a report after main issue is fixed

Some people won’t remember that main guns used to auto fire on target-locked enemy when you are switched to another weapon group, they removed this feature for almost all boats. M-802 still had it but they made that boat trash by raising the tier.
They first removed it and then later on down the road they did a complete 180° making the main guns (whilst selected) auto aim at locked targets without the option to manually aim.
