i made this doc a year ago ( i think), and i wanted to share it. feel free to add to the ideas and expand upon it.

Naval, it’s boring. Solution, Change how naval works entirely.
Don’t base anything in this on the current system, if u do it will cloud your judgment.
Things to add:

This may seem like it won’t work like destroyers against battleships, but it can
You will start the game by spawning in light cruisers or heavy cruisers, you cant spawn in destroyers, instead whatever destroyer u have researched and in your lineup with spawn in with your heavy or light cruisers as a sort of fleet ai that sticks with u and fires, you can also take control of your convoy destroyers individually. Two destroyers spawn with you.
To spawn in submarine, battleship, or aircraft carrier, it takes the spawn points u earn using CA, ,or CL. Submarines take the least amount of spawn points (like an assist). Battleships take and average amount, and aircraft carriers take the most. Submarines, battleships, and aircraft carriers spawn without convoy of any sort.
Aircraft Carriers
Do ever spawn in and aircraft and cant get anywhere near because of antiair? The answer is Yes. CV can be equipped with the naval aircraft you earn in the air TT. When you launch an aircraft it launches in a group of 3-6, with you controlling it and Ai following your lead. When your patrol gets knocked out you with return to controlling aircraft carrier, the next time you can launch is on a timer that depends on the aircraft carrier. U can launch ai fighters from your CV to protect it. CV has ASW-capable aircraft. Before lunching you can route your aircraft carrier on the map. When launching an aircraft, you can toggle between ship and air.
Submarines
SS will start the match above water. SS can move around the map undetected but can be spotted by seaplanes or nearby ships and marked on the map. SS can stay near passageways and pick off ships. SS with aircraft can control the aircraft while under water.
Battleships
BBs and BCs will work the same as they do in the game, but they will cost spawn points to spawn in.
Some countries might be weaker than others naval wise like, USSR, Germany, Italy, and france, especially aircraft carrier wise. But at least two Aircraft carrier will do. Some countries won’t have naval aircraft, so aircraft with a short takeoff will work.
There will always be a gap in tech trees, but where something is weak in one way is stronger somewhere else.
MAP REWORK
I have two ideas for how maps and rounds work. One is to have a defensive side and an offensive side, Certain countries will be on the defensive more because of there weak aircraft carrier capabilities, so the defensive side will have access to an airfield and land-based aircraft. The next map type is a long battle over a huge map and there will be a border line and different areas to capture and contest, this will be a long battle and when someone loses all there fleet they get replaced by another player. up until 75% of the battle is done.
Layout,
Destroyers will be in the far left in the tt with a different highlight color they a special reserved slot to equip there has to be at least one heavy or light cruiser equipped. Then one empty slot and buyable slots. When you join a match you can select whatever heavy or light cruiser you have equipped.
