I would like to compare let Belfast shot BBs in 50 times with DD at 4.7 shots Belfast, which one would take much more damage, but we do have BCs at 5.7 so…
A fake Broken battleship no less. Just like the panther 2 but not removed for some reason…
and people claim Russian bias doesn’t exist.
It existed. It wasn’t completed.
There’s a distinct difference between ‘fake’ and ‘incomplete’.
AFAIK the hull was done and the deck was placed, but then it got scrapped to make thousands of lil T-34s
Pragmatic choice tbf.
You don’t build battleships for a ground war. Nor when your enemy primarily consists of u-boats.
Well, it was 3 fronts.
The remaining Soviet fleet that wasn’t bombed to hell by the surprise invasion was defending ports or escorting convoys for supplies.
Then of course air warfare, and pretty sure Japan tried to invade but failed miserably.
Then the biggest of them all, the ground war I couldn’t even imagine the fighting in Stalingrad / Kursk. Had to have been hell.
It was so far from completion it was basically on paper only just like the Panther 2. Not to mention that if it was completed its statistics would fall far behind the planned ones. So yes I would consider it fake, though its more a matter of definition than anything else. My point still stands.
I find it very amusing that you asked people what the best ships in the game were and then got upset when 70% said Russia. Your not looking for feedback your looking for confirmation bias.
This is the only time I’m going to respond to this kind of naive comment.
It’s going off topic.
But, why I ask what everyone thinks the best nations are in certain modes is down to the basic understanding most people are brainwashed into thinking that “Russian bias” is real.
I’m a Russian main, and prefer USA or Italy, over Russia now adays.
If that doesn’t tell you 70% of people are blaming “Russian bias” for their skill issues, or other problems, I don’t know what will.

The armor plates would have been imported from Germany but 1941 happened.
So the compromise would have been two lesser thickness plates layered together (which would have equated to notably worse protection overall).
As for the guns; they trialed poorly but they served in the defense of Leningrad. It is unknown (to me) how they would have actually handled on-ship though. Likely worse firerate than what it currently has but I’m only guessing.
Most of the Russian ships are pretty arse due to weird gimmicks with the hulls.
Krasny Krym - for example - is borderline immune to being crew killed by CA level SAP (although it will lose a fat chunk of crew) and just dies to any sort of cruiser AP.
conversely, all of the russian dreadnoughts suffer the Yamashiro problem where penetrations on the upper armor belt is a borderline death sentence.
The war trophy Conti di Cavour is the first battleship in the russian arsenal that doesn’t suffer from this, while both Pr69s (Kronshtadt and Sevastopol) straight up get deleted via frontal hull shots by effectively anything ‘at tier’.
Stalingrad amplifies this since it has even less armor.
The only advantage the Pr69s and Stalingrad has are astronomically good guns on a hull that almost makes the alaska look armored.
HMS Royal Sovereign is painfully mid to kinda booty but that’s par for the course for post 5.3 britain.
Yeah I bought the Sevastopol because it’s the station in Alien Isolation you go on 😅 yes I’m a nerd.
Turns out it wasn’t a great purchase, super glass cannon.
Not that it should be a 7.0, but I do believe it may be better there. It doesn’t seem to live as much as the Geniusnuae
Kron used to be good, then they moved the ammo up in elevation, and now it just gets its shells or mag detonated first hit usually, and if you don’t die you simply have no way to fight back.
Correct, it did existed, but not in the way we have in game
It should have 3 layers of main belt armour, because the Russians couldn’t actually make armour thick enough in one piece, then we have the guns, realistically the guns that were planned was unlikely to ever be fitted as such we should have gotten German guns, which was planned and Russia wouldve received if it wasn’t for the German invasion.
So ironically it’s very much like the panther 2, it existed as a base layer, but much of it after that doesn’t.
The Soyuz - as far as I know - was planned for the 40.6cms right from the get-go.
The 6 38cm SKC twin turrets ordered were for the Kronshtadts but i’m not sure if they would have featured the same firerate.
