Yes, naval is playable once again after a whole month of being bugged

quick update: it seems the breach repair bug can be triggered in coastal(didnt triggered when i was playing in BB despite all the enemies focusing me from multiple directions and receiving underwater penetrations that should trigger the bug), so dunno what happened there
bots being inmune to fire bug seems to be really fixed though
Automatic flood repair bug still exists. Why it’s happening is anyone’s guess.
What’s really gripping my crap currently in NAB besides all the other silly jiggles is having to play “encounter” when I’m at anything but top tier.l
The very last thing I want when I take out my 5.0 destroyers is to end up in a map I can’t reach the enemy when they can easily reach me and end up nothing but an sl piñata for everyone else. It’s a pointless map for anything below light cruisers and battle ships at minimum, and should be the reserve of BRs over 6.7/7.0 only imo.
Add in that those ai ships anchored in the spawns can magically hit you from the moment you spawn in too makes those maps so much more unfun it’s abysmal
That’s need sorting quite badly imo and along with an attempt to actually decompress things too desperately including coastal decompression. And I don’t mean just shift almost eveything up 0.3 whilst leaving one or two the same essentially jus shifting deckchairs around, actually decompress properly and listen to the players on it properly
I’ve actively got the point where if I get an encounter map I’ll just quit it straight off the bat not even play it. I don’t care for them at all and the fact I can’t ban all those maps just encourages this behaviour more.
I’ll continue to zero death quit those maps forever that I’m forced to have them.
With even some dodging you’re basically unhittable at 12 km. Depending on the cruiser, even 9km.
The problem is the ridiculous accuracy AI ships have.
I’ve noticed the realistic EU servers are no longer safe from the Leopard/Luchs ‘’‘players’‘’, is it the same in AB?
Haven’t seen any but I’ve been playing 5.3 CLs.
I’ve not seen any of the new bots in NAB (BR2-6ish)…yet.
Won’t be surprised if/when they turn up. I have played through at least 4 bot waves so far, initially mostly just irritating (the Moffets had bad aim and were easy one shots) but increasingly problematic as they added things like basic manoeuvring and terrain avoidance.
Hopefully the snail wont be snail paced and counter them quickly. The Moffet era went on for weeks and drove players out the mode.
current trend is Leopard/Luchs (3.7), i think its a continuation of the Frunze/Kerch accounts of yore
it started a couple weeks ago but i basically stopped seeing them when i disabled CIS/NA servers
however, since the AK225 event ended i’ve seen a few of them on the EU servers too
maybe they were there all along and its only the exodus of fomo-grinders that exposed them
having said that, it’s nowhere near the numbers you’d encounter on the other servers, but its interesting to see it took them so long to get there
Until you get that one hit (which is sometimes immediately) and then it’s game over, they’re honestly the worst unbalanced maps for naval gameplay with those kinds of ships, even more so when you have a costal in your lineup that’s then unusable too
I honestly genuinely hate those maps, I have no like for them at all and for me at least theyre the biggest fun sponge in that mode. Just leave them for the top tiers only
Every single update that we get that doesn’t give us us submarines is just pain
Submarines - if they were implemented with the current issues plaguing naval - would be a potential death knell. Subs would either be really annoying or borderline worthless and a waste of a spawn.
Did they nerf the points you earn? Or this is another bug?
Oh noes, I hope not. I have not played yet today since the latest patch, but in the last couple of days I thought that the new changes were helping. Ohhhhh boy, if anyone has any good info about possible point issues please start collecting and posting ASAP so we can try and get any issues fixed while the event is still just starting.
Given anything tho ,that is much better but wish they would bother to spread out the island and stuff so destroyer can actually play. From 6.0 and above it just a massive shit show for battleship taking port shot and torp boat gun sizing for cap. They really need to remake map for DD to actually be able to contest cap

That’s because the devs reduced the score and rewards for damaging lower-BR vessels:
This is an even bigger problem in Naval than in other modes. Just as a reminder, this is what the reduction table looks like:

Right now, killing a small, fast, agile, and very annoying boat with your ship can give you as little as 10% of the base score and rewards.
I never liked this reduction system, especially because it doesn’t work both ways. It only reduces rewards and never gives you more for destroying a vehicle at a higher BR. Ever since this system was introduced, I’ve been criticizing it, because it makes no sense to cut rewards by 90% for killing another player’s vehicle.
It’s not the players’ fault that the matchmaker allows lower-BR vehicles into these battles, yet players are punished for dealing with them.
Of course, this reduction system also doesn’t take into account that players still have to spend time fighting these enemies, even if they are at a lower BR. You can’t simply ignore them, because they can still easily win games by capturing zones or using torpedoes against your team’s ships.
To me, this reduction system is extremely unfair and punishes players for no good reason.
I experienced it in high tier match. Like hits even though hitting and damaging modules didn’t give almost any points. Either some sort of hit register issue or I dunno.
