Naval mode is finally dead

I encountered the issue that my turning maneuvre sometimes stopped for 1 second (undamaged) and then continues. Th effect is like there was a obstacle in the water but there is clearly none.
I also observed the main guns bug where the guns doesn’t aim at lead point.
And our old “friend” torpedo bug is back - even on the torpedo boats, it seems that mostly boats with spare torps are affected like the german S-Boats. This causes that tubes which are loaded couldn’t launch their fish. It only starts working when the next tube was reloaded… I assume this is related to the change of reloading one-sided tubes at destroyers. They touched the source-code w/o understanding it completely…

Given it has 41cm guns, it can - to a degree - fight 8.7s.

Just depends on the shells and armor vs Nagato and Mutsu.

i also had one teleportation-rich battle today, ending with a disconnect. Glad to see that the servers are in such a great state during a naval event, leading up to the main winter one.

One of the big problems with coastal could be inconsistency of mods, or that it’s just a placeholder for submarines since that’s where most the ASW stuff seems to be.

Albatros’ exocets would be fun, Chikugo’s ASROC too. There is no balance anyway so just enable them and see what happens

Also on mods, maybe it was balance back in the day but as it stands I can’t see how it makes sense for Dealey and Hoquiam to lack sharpnel prot, vents and ammo wetting, but La Surprise and Marne has them all, Commandant Domine is missing vents and wetting, etc etc, I could go on.

Everything bigger than a speedboat needs ammo wetting too now, LCS isn’t even a situational boat any more, among other large boat spawn vessels.

If simple player can see it all and imagine changing 0 to 1 in some text ‡ file then it can’t be much work, so the problem is clearly organisational will.

‡ or however it’s done, can’t be much different from text files but I didn’t dig into the datamine yet, but would for some GE :)

Could be. Or it could be Mutsu where it can lose three turrets worth of magazine and somehow survive.

Seems like not just naval. I’m getting these dying servers even on ground battles.

explain this one then devs, matchmaking having a laugh? you can see from the 2 deaths that the fatties were shooting players first too, my Vanguard wasn’t getting anywhere so I became the fifth player to just leave.

Imo realistic naval shouldn’t let you target an enemy automatically or follow it around. Find your targets on your own and aim it manually.

That would even improve the survivability of torpedo boats and make them more useful.

Why is wt turning into a worse world of warships…

The arrival of AK-225 makes the already unplayable Coastal (for majority of the boats) even more so.

I took the AK out for a spin and as expected the waters were full of 206, 12412, and orher 225s. About the only notable exception was an inevitable premium M802 whos size snd thick skin gave it a short lived advantage.

Tbh i dont think much has changed at 4.x except the project number. Its still wall to wall Russia with most other nations stuck in bluewater spawns.

At least its not like the mass influx of Italian Luigis at 5.0. Multiples of them sat at the back spamming the DD spawns battle afrer battle after battle…I’ll be happy when the 20k challenge is over.

honestly i like the arcade system cause its more historically accurate and make it more balanced by giving you a chance to dodge

The fact that Aminens is still spammed to the present day tells me that these boats/ships will remain for years to come, unless Gaijin addresses them.

Food for any CL at least; they’re thin skinned and crew just disappears to even small caliber SAP.

The biggest threat they got is access to AP.
