Naval mode is finally dead

In the arcade entertainment mode, the naval cannons automatically calculate lead time, so they are often deceived by the enemy ship’s course changes, resulting in missed shots. This experience is inferior to the historical performance mode, where the player manually predicts the lead time.

You mean that superior manual aiming at lead marker?

why can’t they sort matchmaking, one team with 2x 6.0 heavy cruisers and nothing on the other side higher than 5.7

not the game’s fault that I had a booster and got killed in my 5.3 incredibly fast, but its a very irritating aspect to the game to put you into dud matches, and this kind of nonsense really bites at higher BR

full server too, ridiculously bugged algo

Depending what your 5.7s are, this isn’t a big power gap.

However I am in agreement the matchmaker should force an even number of same tier/type vehicles (ie 4 6.0 CAs and 2 6.0 battleships) on each team (so it’s 2 and 1 vs 2 and 1).

Nothing is more cringe than one team having two nassau classes and all we get is a fargo and a mikuma.

Granted, the japanese heavy cruisers in general don’t struggle with punching well above their weight despite being fairly awful hulls (at least they’re not krasny kavkaz or kirov classes…)

That should be solved by decompression.Nassau should be like at least 6.7 when Fargo and Mikuma are 6.0

all guns that were changed for “escalation”, now have broken aiming at NAB when controlled by the player and also when controlled by AI gunners, not aiming and shooting at naval targets both in RB and AB.

Albatros is completely bugged now, one cannon shoots Independently and the other misses.
How can a small update mess with a whole game mode and no one notices!!!

We are talking about non existent qualitty control on their game updates.

please reply to the bug reports so hopefully we will be able to play again this summer

lets hope it has something to do with the Exocets

after 10 days they finally accepted the bug

I got a ‘this is a known issue’ email yesterday after subbing to some of the better written bug report on the whole gun aiming fiasco - there are sooo many covering so many vessels and guns, on top of existing bugs that still need looking in to (R130 37mm aim has been accepted as broken for 18M+). For good measure I also added one minor one of my own that no one had yet mentioned.

This is as far as official recognition of the problem has gone. You can be assured if a single Ground based 76mm suddenly changed its behaviour for the worse the Devs would be falling over themselves to acknowledge and fix it.

However dozens of Naval guns… silence…nothing changes!

Now someone has to create a bug report for the broken aiming of some boats against air targets in AB.

On the Glaive, for example, the 40 mm Bofors and .50 cal guns in manual aiming are unable to automatically lead air targets. Because of this, all shots lag behind if you aim at an aircraft’s center of mass. You can reproduce this bug in Test Sail as long as the selected mode is AB.

I am pretty sure more than one boat is affected by this bug, but someone will have to investigate and test each one.

here you are,

The OP stated that the problem is with the AI-controlled guns on the Glaive, and the OP’s screenshot was taken in RB mode. So it’s not exactly the issue I was describing, but that’s okay. I left my comment on that bug report to show that the problem also exists in AB.

I also tested the Schütze in Test Sail with AB mode selected, and it suffers from the same bug.

someone in Gaijin should be, they seem especially weak on range testing too, eg that reverse bug, matchmaking flaws, height bugs on maps, the type of bugs we see right after updates etc

seems gaijin decide to make naval more closer to death, they banned almost EVERY jet bomber in naval,i can’t understand that at all

Killing rest naval fun kinda motto as for me.

Good riddance in my opinion.

The most that WW2 battleships should be seeing to begin with is super props.

Jep. i got no idea why battleships of late ww 2 and the countless of dreadnoughts should be seeing sabres, mig 15s and whatnot in naval ec. And most air tagets (fighter groups to intercept or bombers) are also jets, which are basically impossible to catch unless you bring a lineup with the highest br and the corresponding plane with it. Dont know if thats similar in naval rb, but whats the point of playing 1945 battleships and then theres jets flying around at almost mach from 1960 or even 1970? The snail slapping stuid missile boats into the game that can ammo rack other destroyers in up to 15 km distance being almost immune that can also target planes cant be the justification for creating a mush of vehicles that if you consider theres people that want to play ww1 dreadnoughts in ec were in service almost 60 years later…

Its a bit of a shame but it seems fair to me, except for the TU-14T which I only unlocked to have a torpedo bomber for Russia, and they have no alternative.

They have at least dropped the first G.91 back to 8.3

I’d rather they add ‘Without Load’ to all the floating planes, especially the German ones, that would be more useful than these high end jet bombers, even though they are quite fun to use.

I like Realistic, I have good gunnery skills in naval. If anything I just want the old sites back.
