With that being said, I think having an autoloader (especially if you have bad crews) is nice to have, even if it may disable you from reloading if it gets destroyed.
Meanwhile tanks with autoloaders just get destroyed after the loss of two crew members(except for PT16/T14, but that thing is just on a whole other level of bias).
And 10-12 seconds reload feels a bit too optimistic in such case. But so is the 5 sec reload on some manual loader mbts
It used to be better for sure, since the addition of extra hitbox the autoloader has a much higher probability of not working anymore, used to be a time where a penetrating turret cheek shot will mostly result in a dead crew without affecting the loading part, now base on my record 6 out of 10 penetrating shot to the turret will result the autoloader out of service. There might also be chances that I don’t die to a penetrating hit to the lfp due to the autloader cassette hitbox being there but I am not too sure about it, unless I could get a pre-autoloder model to test it out the probability vs the ones that has it.
It’s not, T-series got their auto loaders modelled correctly not like the basket they’re implementing which totally wrong, both are different from each other.
I mean both a complaint and discussion can be talked about… what is one to do with a complaint?
I believe they take too much damage from little bits of spall, and what was once a decently balanced playing field has greatly tipped the scales towards any non-auto loading tank.
This made me laugh… sorry but a sliver of spall shouldn’t knock out my auto loader… additionally, German fuel tanks shouldn’t act like black holes but they do.
The current auto loader doesn’t act like a spall liner, I can say that with certainty. It creates more spall, AND when getting hit in the lower plate now, the round bounces off the floor plate and spalls more instead of exiting out the bottom of the tank like it naturally would.
Which kills the tank surprised? Shouldn’t be, irl the round would go through the bottom of the tank and the driver would be KO’d. But hey, this game gives benefits to which nation pays the most
Combine this with the terrible reload, reverse, etc etc. it’s amazing RU is still managing a 40%~ winrate.
Since the T-64B, T80U,Uk,UM2,UD,BVM and the like all have a wayyyy slower reload speed in the game, they should be buffed to 5.5 or 6.0 secs.
A literal video showing the reload is far faster in irl than in game:
Here’s the cyclogram data:
Well, if you want realism, we could always opt for nerfing blowout panels, since right now they are constantly closed, as well as adding loader fatigue.
Did you read what i wrote? It’s a bug, not realistic at all.
Reload penalty for losing crew members should be a flat penalty anyways, it’s a disproportionate punishment to the slow reloading tanks, which are already non-meta to begin with whilst fast reloading vehicles are barely affected despite suffering an identical loss.
That looked like a 5s reload to me :)
It’s like 4.84 or something, but who’s counting?
yea
Dont let US mains see that…bu´mu´murica reload rate bla bla
5 seconds to load the shell itself, +1.5 seconds (being generous) to dial in the shell that is to be loaded into position, AKA 6.5 seconds as ingame.
You can’t start timing the process halfway through. Shells don’t just spawn underneath the breech. The carousel rotating the new shell into position is a part of the reload process.
Except when it is in the “Sequence” mode which is used if you load only one type of shell which automatically after one shell is loaded immediately rotates the carrousel and prepares the next shell to be brought up
Very incorrect. I don’t get where people get that info from.
The computer tracks the shell type, and gets it ready so when the gunner fires, unless the gunner literally tells the computer not to load the next shell it will load it. And it was 4.84~ for that load time for the arm to clear.
Why do people think Russian vehicles are purely mechanical and no computer systems are on board?

Is that a thing? Are there videos of this, the shells being dialed in and ready before the reload begins? It could be a way of achieving a rate of fire increase for Russian and Chinese tanks.
The loader don’t need all of one type. It catalogs the positions of every shell and what she’ll type it is
There are videos, you can find them. If I had a manual, i would find the exact page but… sadly I don’t have the manual 🥲
It is, Tankograd has a nice paragraph about it
