It doesnt, at different BRs different nations have more or less 1DL heavy brackets than others. Russia gets a lot of them at 10.0 while USA/germany gets them at 9.3 for example.
Show me u’r spredsheets. lol
If I am a newb in the lowest rank of a game, I accept beforehand that I am not going to do well at first. I know that I don’t have a competitive chance until I learn stuff. But that is why I hang in, to learn stuff.
The time in battle mainly contributes to your RP earnings. For SL, you have to do something. And the logic is, that your expectation value is higher for a fresh game than for a game that is going down the drain. So SL wise, I can see some profit in ODL.
As far as winning is concerned, the value of a victory was decreased a while ago. So that is less of an incentive now.
There is not doing well at first, and then there is not making it out of spawn on a regular basis. That is the experience a lot of new players have these days.
Well, that belongs to “not doing well” too.
I can see where you think i mean it that way but i dont, i just want good matches not people being forced to be there, this is part of why i bring this up to talk about solutions.
I think you came here just to tell people to cry over it to be honest, i want solutions that are a win for every side not one vs the other, if we fight eachother gaijin never has to fix issues and they have done well by that so far.
See what people are missing is that this is and will trickle down, i stopped playing 10.0 and 8.7 last night and went to 6.7 and do you think the lower level players enjoyed me topping the board in these matches over and over?
If high tier keeps on its track nobody will play it except people who run 1 life and leave, so all of the level 100’s like me are going to use our map and tank knowledge to crush mid to low tier and new players will leave.
This is why i bring this up and want fixes before it sucks is all down, we all know it will only get worse for the new guys down the road.
Seems more like that belongs to the “how do you get new players to quit and uninstall the game”. Or, of course, only spawn once per game.
what are you talking about man? You barely do 1 for 1, you have zero influence on creating game results, you are just a mere background.
You and your “wisdom” will make someone laugh.
the game has its own way of “balancing” based on the average position in the team and balances entire teams. If these slightly better players were separated from the rest, they would have no one to play with. Because out of every 16 people, 12-14 are individuals like you, with less than 50% WR and an average 1 for 1. The only thing you create is an artificial crowd. You are free XP and you need to understand where you belong. Best regards and have fun, my dear friend :D
Calling it toxic is like admitting I’m right. Thank you.
Crazy how toxic some of you guys are over stats, it takes a long time to get better at this game and im finally hitting the point where i do good in matches.
Stats dont change over night dude, you can stat check me and look at my newer vehicles with less games and see 2.0 KD on some of them so you dont have any idea what you are talking about.
Just because i sucked for a long time doesent mean i cant play the game lol, that turns into experience that i will infact use to have fun.
I dont care if you stat shame me and be toxic, it wont upset me or deter the subject im here to talk about.
Infact you can look at my 4.7 russian stats and 3.7 sweden stats and see that what i just talked about is playing out in real time as im quickly building high KD tanks in lower tiers.
I think we can all agree that War Thunder’s primary game modes are not 100% where we would prefer them to be, and that discussion of how they might be improved is a worthy and interesting topic for discussion. I could write volumes about what other online games have tried and how those lessons might be applied to War Thunder, and/or propose new modes or changes that might be implemented. Instead I’m going to go play the game.
I will propose that this particular issue (one death leavers) is not entirely a problem with War Thunder ground RB, it is a problem with the way you personally engage with the mode and your expectations for how other people will engage with it.
Fair enough, at this point I probably will just stop playing high tier and enjoy the better parts of the game.
Recent BR changes made 6.0-7.0 much more interesting so ill probably stay there for now and enjoy the full lineups i have instead of grinding the high tier ones.
Speaking of toxic…
See my post about new players just quitting.
I guess that will be a kind of balance if the game only has an average of 10k concurrent users that are nothing but old players and your wait times are ten minutes long.
pff have you seen the new repair costs, bets to only be in a game for 5 minutes than leave, otherwise i pay almost 12 000 sl repair for a 6.7 rank tank
buy a top tier prem and you dont need to be good
This has literally nothing to do with his concern, and nothing to do with the topic. Its a completely irellevant point to make.
I fully agree with you on the toxic part. But I do think he has some point that you inevidably won’t see yet.
I don’t know how to put this, so I won’t talk about you but about me, as it illustrates the point just as well.
When I played this game for a while (arcade) and had reached rank 3 (2016), I was pretty frustrated because I was just dying my way up. I just didn’t blame it on the game or P2W, but I knew I hadn’t yet figured it out fully. I could win some games and score well, but I wasn’t really controlling this. Then I got an offer from a clan player to squad up with them for an evening - which ended in many many evenings. That was an eye opener as I learned how much there is to know that I didn’t even think about before. Playing with this guy was immensely instructive, because he told me live why he was now doing what. And I realized that much of the game was running under my radar until then. And we are only talking about one single game mode.
Gaining all that additional know how (which isn’t really skill, just knowledge) enabled me to complete golden wagers on my own and do really fine. But I still wasn’t a skilled player. And I am not today. I feel still greatful to I_AM_GOD for his help then.
So when someone tells me that after some months and some thousand matches he is now a good player, just not at higher ranks, then I have doubts. Not that I doubt his sincerety, but that I doubt his judgement is based on enough knowledge.
I remember too well that I could do good at rank 3 without understanding much about the game.
You have a point and i agree, but i was disagreeing with him basically calling me a bot, i actually just finished my first 10 stage 10 kill wager tonight with 6.7 US and thats why i say that im finally getting to the point where im doing good in matches (failed 7 out of 10 but got all 10 steps with 5+ kill games at 6.7) I am by no means a good player but looking at most played premiums and saying im overall bad isnt exactly accurate.
You arent wrong, but a particular players skill level isnt honestly relevant to the topic of one death leavers.
It absolutely helps to play in a squad with better players, or sometimes even players that do things a bit different. The information and learning you can take from it is invaluable not just in War Thunder but most games I myself have learned heaps from playing with better players than me in many different games including War Thunder.
But what that poster was saying had nothing to do with the discussion and was literally just stat bashing OP for no reason.
