Agree. The game is broken, the main issues arent corrected as SL/RP income and spawn campers. This is riduculous.
“6.7 and do you think the lower level players enjoyed me topping the board in these matches over and over?
If high tier keeps on its track nobody will play it except people who run 1 life and leave, so all of the level 100’s like me are going to use our map and tank knowledge to crush mid to low tier and new players will leave.”
I was referring to this fragment, the statement that a level 100 player going lower from BR suddenly magically disrupts the gameplay below and reigns at the top of the table. This is nonsense, I’ve been playing this game since 2013 and it never mattered which lvl someone had or what skills in terms of 1DL.
My “attack”, or rather humorous approach to this individual was exactly what it was supposed to be, a bit of uncomfortable truth.
and I answered this topic at the very beginning. Why am I making these insults? Because first we look for problems in ourselves, in what we do wrong. Only at the end in others.
Far more likely than handwaiving something about repair costs…

And… you know this? How? Have you been interviewing 1DLers?
This phenomenon erupted with the influx of new players during the “covid pandemic”
The game saw rapid growth and many problems arose due to snail itself.
First of all, we have an influx of new players who would like to quickly and easily gain access to the latest vehicles in the game, which translates into mass purchases of the most expensive premium vehicles.
As you probably know, premium vehicles at the highest BR have the ability to explore the entire tree without penalty, so there is no point in purchasing vehicles below that if for 70 bucks you can buy a vehicle that will allow you to explore the entire tree and the latest content they are currently adding to the game.
The second issue is division vehicles - you create an account and for less than 10k gold you can buy a division vehicle that will give you access to the top BRs in the game.
You have an old player base that has spent years discovering access to this content and a “new” one that has created an account and bought a few premium vehicles. The old base also buys premium vehicles, but as a supplement to the squad or to discover new trees - these people already have some idea about the game itself, they may not be great, but they understand how it works and develop the account. On the other hand, you have a new player who spent 70 bucks and wants to have a top-of-the-line plane or tank without having any idea about the game, maps, mechanics, economy, etc.
Due to the fact that the new player does not have sufficient knowledge and skills, he realizes that he has a whole tree to explore to get to the content he wants.
These people want to play as many games as possible with any result to accelerate this progress
There is no intention of playing the game itself, only grinding and progress in order to obtain the content that interests them as quickly as possible.
Their game is sloppy, thoughtless, focused on “do anything” to get a minimum of activity and get any RP. This “mass” that rushes in pursuit of top-tier content is not at all interested in “results”, WR, KD, nothing. The only thing they are interested in is playing more battles in pursuit of RP.
Why is this happening? And that’s because the game’s economy looks like this. No matter how much you do, the differences in RP between a 1-frag game and a 5-frag game are negligible. The main factor when it comes to RP is “game time”, they don’t fully understand it and are just in the rush.
Why was the community of this game crying about the economy? And because SL depends on your actions in the game, your results are poor - you earn little. Most of the players are weak, so they didn’t earn much. You get RP for doing anything and spending enough time in the game, so you earn RP even though you do almost nothing.
Out of curiosity, I checked how much an account operated by a bot gets when it drives a premium vehicle into the cap, throws smoke and waits to die. Average around 10k SL and 1200 RP. Bot accounts have 4-5 thousand battles played on one vehicle played over and over again.
These accounts generate hundreds of millions of SL (because the premium account now insures against the loss of SL) and research new vehicles. And they do it only slightly slower than people who normally play this game.
What exacerbates the problem is the sale of high-tier premium vehicles to new players, an economy that favors stupid, mindless playing of the game on the principle that the more the merrier, regardless of the results.
And when this “new” part of the community outgrows the old player base and imposes its mindless behavior, it causes the old player base to also start behaving this way because it simply sees no point in continuing battles when 60% are already playing the next battle.
Guess where we are now? hf.
I just came back after looong pause with this game. My first RB mission with B29 took 12 mins in queue and less than 2 mins in battle before my plane was cut in half and I was out, so I took a brake and a beer, and thought I try again, and it was exactly the same in next battle, except I was dead in 1 min, so I think I will be one permanent 1 death leaver, and leave the entire game for good, because it does not feel like fun anymore…
You know that Air RB has only one life anyway, right? Everyone there is one death leaver by game design.
love U2
I do consider most of your statement correct, as far as logic and mechanic goes.
If I look at myself, I find that other reasons also promote ODL. “Spader-Collectors” are very prone to this. If you don’t have a lineup to spade but only an individual vehicle left unspaded, you either play air RB (fine) or consider ODL at sea or ground. And this has been going on as long as I play this game. The only mild cure to this was the proliferation of backups. Which means, that if the game is going to go on for a while after the first death and if the dead vehicle did accomplish some decent score, you are wise to come back. But you would then play way more cautious because you just want time now, not score. It is “hidden” ODL then.
This gatekeeping is wild, you literally referred to me as food and told me to learn my place, its a completely ridiculous approach to a problem that is actually in the game and many people voice concerns over.
Ill tell ya what though, its clear this game is not worth any more of my money and i already have a lot unlocked, ill let premium time run out and not buy any more premium vehicles and pad my stats like you dickheads do in mid tier.
Gaijin can thank you personally for opening my eyes that this community maybe doesent want better because some of them think they know the one and only way forward and are gods of warthunder to back it.
I honestly dont care what you think about my stats and in 6 months they wont look the same because thats how learning a game works.
These are my RB stats even though I’m mainly an AB player. As you can see, only mid tier.
In fact, I think I “know the game” a little better than you.
Do I think I am God? NO. There are a lot of better players and you can always learn something from them. It seems to me that we have a divergent position on this matter. I look at better people through the prism of opportunities for progress, you look at them through the prism of fear and reluctance.
So instead of imparting your wisdom today, take this time to improve your skills and knowledge of the game. If in these 6 months you are better than me, that’s great, the higher we aim, the more we achieve, even if we don’t fully succeed. I’m cheering.
my nickname didn’t come out of nowhere. ;)
Dude i dont mean any ill will towards you, im fine with you being far better but my point was im starting to learn and happy that im seeing results even though my stats dont yet reflect it.
Calling me food and telling me to learn my place is not excusable though and i think even you know that.
I came into this with a complaint that the money ive spent will be wasted because of the worsening condition of gameplay.
You made it clear immediately that im unable to proccess this opinion because of skill issue, i want a better game for both of us but i see why people dont use the forum and say its a toxic place to be.
