Multi path height

Maybe if trees weren’t close to a 100m tall on average.

It is a small amount of people, actually. You also haven’t given any reason as to why multipathing shouldn’t still be at 100m aside from the fact that you want to force everybody to play the game in specifically the way you want to play.

I was last hit 15m above water. Multipathing currently has no effect. It may also be a bug.

Otherwise it is clear: 100m was too high, 60m is too deep (because in the War Thunder world trees are regularly higher than 60m and do not affect radar and every map is extremely hilly).

The “Skill Issue” faction should please differentiate more precisely.

Notch and crank can be done with a Mig29. Not with aTornado. I’ve tried this several times now too.

Not the issue. They arent that high, its just often too difficult to judge what height you are at with the only reference alt that from sea level and not actual height.

If they added a radar altimeter. Then you would be able to find its fairly easy to stay below 60m

Take the Tornado with a pinch of salt. Its placeholder Flight model and MASSIVELY nerfed BOL rails mean it has a massively harder time to defeat these missiles than it should.

Yeah, this is a normal tree height.

That’s just a toy car next to a shrubbery though.

Everyone here complaining about the new “OP un-dodgeable missiles” are going to completely shit the bed when the IRIS-T and Meteor (and counterparts) get released in the future.

Yeah… Im looking forward to ASRAAM :P

the multipathing change was added the last week of dev server, and the only reason we know that is from datamining no?

No, was in the patch notes im fairly certain

Well maybe people could have been prepared for this change… or you know, a tutorial that teaches people how to dodge a missile…

it was in the patch notes for the live server yes, but the dev server version it was added in it wasnt mentioned was it?

Better war thunder tutorials are needed regardless of MP.

I still get TKed way too often at top tier ASB because people have no idea what IFF is. I got taken out by a F-15A firing Aim-7 at me the other day after I dodged the first missile he fired again.

I prepared for this change by deciding I did not enjoy staring at an RWR and a clunky square radar screen so steeled myself to play actually enjoyable BRs where you aren’t fighting ghosts and running in circles.

I recall reading it in there im fairly certain.

Speaking off the Aim-7… there is a tutorial for it but it doesn’t even work and you can’t complete it.

The tank tutorial with a Panther ll and 700mm APCR isn’t great either, and the removing all the GE rewards from it to remove the tiny incentive that was there… imagine people getting even a sliver of free stuff.

but the problem is that even if you stay below 60 meters it just doesnt work. Its like adding the “feature” of chaff not working 50% of the time. Thats what it feels like. If its not the missile hitting me anyway, its splash dmg.
My best way to play this game atm? Literally wait 1 minute to take off. That way the 8x fox 3 shitters have blown their load and i can actually play the game wether i decide to notch stuff or multipath it.

That tutorial is already confirmed to be coming in the next episode of “Shooting range” on youtube.

Okay, but maybe put a tutorial in the actual damn game, and have the tutorial ready when you release this shit on people in the first place.

If I wanted a video tutorial I can find them, not going have to wait around for Gaijin to finally figure it out months after the fact as always.
